Well here's the second chapter: Part one.  I hope you like it.  And thanks for reading! :)

The apartment wasn't that great.  It was bare with white walls, but there was a bed, like Alan had promised, but it didn't have any sheets.  I slept on it anyway, waking up freezing and wishing I hadn't volunteered for this job.  I could have been in my warm bed...

A knock came on the front door and I rolled off the bed in surprise.  Who was knocking at this hour?  I rushed to the bathroom and smoothed down my ruffled hair.  "I'm coming!" I said hurriedly, trying to straighten out my clothes as I rushed to the door.

I yanked it open and saw Sara there.

"Hello," she said quietly.

"Um... hello?"

"I was wondering if you'd like to go rock climbing with Kelly and I."

"Uh... what time?"

"Ten o'clock today.  She wanted me to invite you."

"Sure she did..." she blushed by my last comment.  "I'm guessing you told her all about me, didn't you."

"Of course not... I..." she seemed lost of words.  "Anyway, if you want to come, meet at my apartment at ten o'clock sharp or we'll leave you behind."  She turned and quickly started for her apartment.

"I'll be there," I cried out.  She didn't seem to hear me or she just ignored me.  Either way she didn't turn back.  Maybe my comment offended her.

I shut the apartment door and looked around the dismal place.  I really need to brighten this place up.  I would go shopping after rock climbing.

Sara Watson

"Come on, Sara!" Kelly pleaded through the phone.  "You know you want to ask him to come with us.  He'll have a blast."

"You don't even know him and you're making judgments already," I replied flustered.  "I think you want to know him more than I do!"

"Believe me, if someone appeared behind my car with nothing on him, I would be a little suspicious and of course, you know me, I would pry a little bit.  So, are you going to ask him?"

"No!"

"Pretty please!" she pleaded through the phone again.  I rolled my eyes and then replied.

"Fine.  I'll go over right now."  I looked at the time and then muttered a quick goodbye.  Kelly cheerily muttered the same goodbye.

I slipped out of bed and walked slowly towards the door.  I don't even know if he bought the apartment!  Tugging this thought out of my mind, I opened my apartment door and walked to the apartment on my right.  If he answers than he answers.  The worst that can happen is that he didn't rent the apartment... and no one will answer.

I raised my hand and knocked three times.  The silence was deafening.  Suddenly I heard a muffled, "I'm coming!" from inside the apartment and my heart race into an unneccessary quick rhythm.

Muffled footsteps from inside came closer to the door, and I braced myself to see him.  Maybe someone else bought the apartment...  This had not crossed my mind yet, and I readied myself to see someone else rather than Robbie.
