Sara Watson

I woke up to the buzzing of my phone.  I groggily reached for the nightstand, searching for my phone and finally grabbing it.  Suddenly realized where I was: my bed.  How in the world did I get here?

I opened my eyes and glanced over at my nightstand, where my phone had been previously, and saw a red sticky-note stuck to it.  I quickly tore it off the dark wood and looked at it.

Sara,

Your car is in the parking lot and your keys are in your purse.  I'll be over later.

Robbie

I smiled at the note before putting it down again.  How did he get me in here?  I really don't want to know.  My phone started buzzing again and I was cut off from my previous thoughts.  There was a text from Kelly.

Kelly:  How was shopping?

Sara: Good

I put the phone back on the nightstand and rolled onto my left side.  Just as I was dreaming another text was sent.  I sighed and picked it up again.

Kelly:  No details?

Sara:  I'm sleeping talk to you later

I quickly turned off the phone and pulled the sheets over my head.  Maybe if I hide no one would bother me.  My hopes were crushed when I heard the ding of the doorbell.  I sighed and sat up.  Might as well get up now if fate wants it so bad...

I quickly threw the blue sheets off of me and ran my fingers through my snarly hair.  After looking in the mirror for a second I figured I looked good enough to get the door.  I stopped, my hand hovering over the doorknob.  What if it's Robbie?

I finally twisted the knob and slowly opened the door.  "Oh, it's only you."

"Wow, thanks," she replied, brushing past me.  "I would like a warmer welcome... or did you think it was Robbie?" she guessed.

I couldn't help my blush from creeping in, and she laughed.

"You thought I was Robbie!"

"Shh," I hissed.

Kelly rolled her eyes.  "Anyway, I came to give you the money for tomorrow... and tell you something else..." she got a mischievous look in her eyes and she proceeded to sit down on her recliner.  She motioned for me to sit on my own recliner.  I did so.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened?" she asked eagerly.  I laughed at her expression. "Did he ask you on another date?"

"Shopping is not a date," I said sternly.

"He probably thought it was..." she muttered under her breath.  I don't think she meant for me to hear so I let it go.

"We shopped for hours!  I was so tired... I also saw his professor from Idaho," I brought up.

"Really?  What did he look like?  Did you see him in person?"  Kelly slowly rocked back and forth.  My heart started to pound in my head and I could feel the blood rush through my body.

"No, she was in a picture.  It looked like it fell out of his pocket and... she also looked a lot like me."

"Really?" Kelly stopped rocking and looked at me with big blue eyes.

"And she had the same last name as me!" I whispered in a hurried whisper, as if Robbie would walk in the room any moment and discover that we were gossiping about his professor.
