Love in the Skye (Ed Sheeran fanfic) [Part 2]

Chapter 13

Ed's POV:

My eyes flickered open after what seemed like to have been a deep sleep. I could see Stuart hovering over me, slightly showing a smile as I looked at him. I went to move but pain struck through my back and all the way up to my head. I tried to remember what happened, but nothing sprang to mind. The only thing I remember was coming off stage and walking to my dressing room.. "Ed!", I heard someone shout out. The voice triggered some sort of memory in my head. I remembered someone screaming that. Screaming my name in fear.

"Skye?", I mumbled as she leaned over me. My eyes took a few seconds to focus until I could just about make out the details on her face. "What happened?", I asked, feeling a little embarrassed I couldn't remember. "Crazy fan attacked you, and Stuart wouldn't let me fucking help you, you fell back and hit your head". My memory started to fall back into place, "are you ok?", I asked. She burst into tears, making me panic. Was it me? Did I say something wrong?

"Skye?", I whispered. She softly kissed my forehead, "you're hurt Ed, I hate that, I should have stopped that girl". Stuart looked over at me and I nodded, "I wouldn't have let you. Don't beat your self up about it". Skye nodded, still not satisfied. I pulled myself up to sit up. I was some how sitting on a sofa, I had no idea how they'd got me from the floor up to the lounge area, but they must have struggled. "Can you take a look at it?", I said softly to Skye. She nodded and slowly pulled my shirt up, gasping loudly as she saw my back. I felt her finger run down my spine making me wince in pain. "It looks painful", she said, stupid question. She touched the back of my head and I jerked away. "We might need to go to the hospital", she suggested but I just shook my head, "no need". Skye softly planted a soft kiss on my lips making me smile. "I'll be alright you know". She nodded sitting down close to the edge of the sofa, not wanting to leave my side. For once in my life I was even a little scared. But it wasn't even for me, it was for Skye. I had to protect her with my life.
