"Why would you do that?!" you screeched. "What have I ever done to you?!"
"_-_____," Kuroo tried to interrupt.
"No! All these years I've been nice! I spent with you so much time and you're repaying me this way!?"
"Listen..."
"No, this is serious! We've gone through so much, whole difficult year in high school. Every assignment, every project. Succesess and loses. Whole year, do you understand?! And now,... now...," you were at brink of tears. You run your hand through your hair and uttered with utmost venom, "You crash five times a day, stupid laptop!"
"There, there," Kuroo patted your head as you glared at not working laptop.
Yes, cause of whole ordeal was about your computer. You gritt your teeth every time it crashes. Two weeks ago, a blue screen appeared out of nowhere, you freaked out. Somehow your laptop worked again. But the situation repeated again – once a day, twice a day. You didn't have time to get it repaired and you didn't have money to buy a new one. So you ignored it. It worked, right?
Today you and Kuroo worked on his homework for school. After a long persuading from his side (he just gave you your favorite sweets), you agreed to help him. You were actually good at history, so you could show off a little. You finished your homework way earlier anyway.
But when you wanted to google some information, and your precious laptop crashed, you exploded.
"Kuroo, I can't take it anymore! Look how cruel he is to me!" you wailed.
"Why do you treat laptop as a human being?" raised his brow.
"Is it important right now?" you snapped. "Do something!"
"Suure~," he said patting your head again. Only then you noticed that he basically was hugging you and you were latched to his shirt. You flushed red and made an attempt to get away from him.
"Y-you can let me go now," you said with a nervous smile. Kuroo had particular custom of crushing you on his chest, that always startled you. It was worst when he did it in public, like when you sometimes came by to see his practice. And just like that, he laid his head on yours.
"Don't feel like it~!" he smirked. You wriggled a little more till you finally gave in. You puffed your cheeks and glanced at your laptop. You narrowed your eyes, seeing black screen. "We can dump it to the repair service on way back from school," Kuroo offered.
"I guess I'll have to finally do something with it," you sighed leaning on him.
You remembered your first meeting with Kuroo. You were an athlete and decided to study in Tokyo, so you were new in the town. Your girls-only school offered great courses and preparation for the university, that's why you moved. You were determined to work hard not only at your grades, but mostly on your trainings. You found your route through the town and decided to run every morning. And that's how you met the black-haired volleyball player. Your routes crossed.
Literally.
You two just bumped, very hard, on each other. Yelling match, mostly on your part, started and Kuroo quickly caught on, calling you a shortie. This was an beginning of a beautiful rivalry and at some point friendship. You two bonded over sport and got along pretty well. As much as you could with his teasing and provocativeness.
"Why don't we finish your assignment?" you asked peering at Kuroo. Hi blinked at you, lazily stretched and yawned.
"Like a cat..." you muttered.
"What?"
"Nothing, let's get over it," you said quickly.
"Do we have to?"
"Yes!"
You swore he was like a cat. It wasn't just the fact, that he went to school that had a cat in the name. No, sometimes you were sure he was one. He creeped out of nowhere just to snuggle, making you jump, or demanded your attention. When you saw him on his matches, he was focused, just like a cat can be focused on catching it's prey.
He was playful like a cat. He was so childish when you two went to amusement park. He dragged you to the rollercoaster and had much fun watching you scream your lungs out. You were mad at him for the rest of a day, till he got you cotton candy (no, of course you weren't so easy bribe, you just liked sweets, that's all).
Or like now; a little bit lazy, slow, with bored eyes. As he worked on the homework, he looked bemused and rather sleepy. He scribed sluggishly on a paper. After another yawn, he caught your gaze.
"What is it?" he asked with amusement playing in his eyes. You jumped a little, caught red handed at staring at him.
"Nothing, just focus!" you replied, looking away.
"C'mon, _____, tell me."
"Why should I?"
"Because you were staring. Is there something on my face, or am I that good looking?"
"In your dreams," you replied. You wouldn't admit that he was handsome, not aloud anyway. Weighing your options you decided to tell the truth, "You act like a cat."
He blinked and a grin crept on his face. Look in his eyes told you, it was a wrong choice.
"And do you know what that cat wants now?"
"To do his homework?" you offered. His grin widened and he reached for you, squishing you in his arms.
"Time for a break~!" he said. You groaned. You met your doom and wondered, if this homework will ever be completed. You slouched in his arms.
"I'm never helping you with your homework again, never," your voice was muffled by his shirt.
"Don't be so sure."
"Ugh...!"
***
A week later your laptop was repaired and you and Kuroo went to pick it up. With a grin lighting your face you hugged the device close to you. You, Kuroo and Kenma walked back to your neighborhood. You hummed as you cradled your precious laptop to your chest.
"Why this thing gets more attention than I?" Kuroo questioned. You smiled at him innocently.
"Because he deserves it."
"How?"
"He's working again!"
"And that's it?"
You nodded.
"And we made peace with each other!"
"There you go again, treating it like a person."
Kenma glanced between you.
"Kuroo, you wouldn't understand," he said staring back at his game.

I swear, laptop thing - totally happened to me! But I didn't get to the part where I give it to the repair. Nor I have Kuroo to comfort me :<
I hope you enjoyed!
