Shadows

Claires P.O.V. -

During lunch I saw something move out of the corner of my eye.I turned and looked over in that area and didn't see anything, then I saw it again on the other side of the room. Still it hid in the shadows, it was moving to fast, but the next thing I know, its right behind me whispering "Its almost time . . . . Your time is coming . . . Hahahahahah" and it was gone.

I looked around frantically when I heard someone say "What are you looking for" and I jumped in surprise, saw it was devin and asked "when did you get there?!?" Because I forgot he was there.

He said "I've been here the whole time, are you okay?" No I wasn't, but I propably shouldn't tell him that. I looked around the room one more time before asking "Did you see that?" He looked really confused, and he looked around and said "See what?"

I was looking around, feeling ready to run and hide. And when I looked back at him, he looked very worried. Then he asked "What did it look like?" I thought about it for a moment before saying "I'm not sure, it was big, dark and moved really fast. And it also said something to me."

If he asks what I can't tell him everything it said, no its not time to tell him everything it said. Not yet, I can feel it. Then came the question I had been waiting for. " what did it say?" I really wish he hadn't asked, I don't want to talk about it any more. But I have to answer him.

I looked around the room, then looked back at him. After I had done this a few times to see if the shadow was still there I said "its almost time," and I refused to talk for the rest of the day. It didn't matter what he said, it didn't reach me through the daze I entered after that. The shadow haunting my every thought.

Why me? Why did it have to be me that this happened to? Why not some other girl, maybe even some other boy? These questions kept running through my head, over and over again. There was no escape. But I really wish there was. So very much I wish there was.

But I could still feel his presence, it surrounded me and ate at me. Sometimes I could hear him whispering, repeating what he said before. Why won't he leave me alone? I wanted to yell it the shadow but I had this intense feeling that it would only make him angry an stronger. So I stayed quiet.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long. I have been super busy with school and I had some writers block about halve way through. Hope you guys aren't to angry. Hope you like, and please comment what you think is happening, for example, what is happening to Claire? What is the shadow? Why could Devin not see it? And if you really like this please vote!
