Dirty Little Secret

CHAPTER 9 (KENNEDY)

It turned out that the guys had also been having a sleep over at Jacob’s house which was about a couple blocks away. They saw Tatiana's updated Twitter, and decided to give them a little "surprise". However, Kennedy had been moody and kind of sad almost the whole time, as she didn’t get to have her treats for almost the whole day. She might have had them if they went to the club. She sighed, cursing Charlie in her head. Her crush, Cameron, had also not come, so instead she began to observe Nikki again.

Nikki was like a professional at talking to guys and getting close to them in no time. Then she noticed that Nikki and Connor had been talking and laughing to exclusively each other for the past hour or so. Even when they weren't physically close, forced to separate due to hazadrous pillows being thrown in every direction, they would look at each other in the eye and smile gently at each other. Kennedy knew they would be the perfect fit. They were both small and good looking.

“Guys I’m bored, let's play something,” Kennedy blurted out. She only said this out loud to see how close Connor and Nikki could get. She knew someone would suggest the game she was thinking of.

“Truth or Dare?” someone suggested.

Kennedy nodded and smiled deviously. They all gathered in a circle and Audrey lit another one of her signature Warm Vanilla Sugars candle in the middle.

"I'll start," Kennedy said. "Truth or dare...Nikki?"

"M-me?" Nikki asked, baffled. "Truth,"

"If you had to go out with one guy in our grade, who would it be?"

"Um...Isn't this kind of awkward?" Nikki asked.

"That's the point!" Victoria said.

"Okay, then, I guess...Connor," Nikki stammered.

Connor and Nikki both blushed for a second before Audrey, who had been sitting next to Nikki earlier, made Connor trade places with her.

"Then it's your turn, Nikki," Charlie said.

After a couple more rounds, it was Allison's turn, who asked Charlie. Charlie picked dare, and Allison gave a smirk. Her friends and half the LBRs at school knew that smirk; it was the ultimate mean girl smirk.

"Well then, Charlie. I dare you to go to Rosewood Day with us like we were supposed to, until someone ruined it."

"Is that someone us?" asked Jayden, confused.

"No, no," Victoria joined in, "It's …"

At that moment, Charlie ran out of the basement, up the stairs.

The room was silent for a while, before Audrey said, "I’ll go up and check on her..”

"Wait, I'll go instead," the voice belonged to Aaron. This surprised everyone, as Aaron was usually quiet. Everyone knew Aaron and Charlie liked each other, but nobody thought he would be this brave.

Before anyone had a chance to say anything, Aaron ran up the stairs. The eleven that were left sat there in silence for a few seconds.

“How about we leave them alone and go on with our game?” Victoria chriped.

“I agree, so who’s next?” Allison asked.
