I had a day off from work for once.

But instead of being able to get some rest and relax the whole day, my mind was thinking about one thing.

What is he hiding from me. He has no right to keep secrets from me. How can I help somebody I can barely trust.

"TIA! Pay attention to the food!" Mama yelled.

I looked down at the hot stove and stomped my foot on the ground in annoyance. I actually burnt my pancakes, and I never burn my pancakes....never."

"What is going on with you today?"

I threw them away along with the pancake batter I made, loosing my appetite all of a sudden.

"I don't know. Just tired mama."

She gave me a concerned look. "Well go sleep baby you deserve it."

"I think I'm gonna go to Charlottes first." I said.

She did'nt think twice about it. Giving me a quick kiss on my cheek. "Okay baby. Im gon' to work now. I love you."

"Love you too." I mumbled as she walked out the door.

A couple minutes later I was out the door too. Making my way to the bus stop. Thinking of something clever and mean to say to 'his highness'

-----------------------------------------------------

I knocked on the door and a short, chunky older man I have never seen before answered the door. "Can I help you madam?"

I blinked. "Uh. Is Charlotte home? Or Naveen maybe?"

"What is your business with Ms. LaBuff and his highness prince of Maldonia?" He asked in a regal sounding British accent.

"Excuse me?" I shifted my weight to the other foot. "Im a family friend." I said blandly.

He chuckled. "Well Prince Naveen and his companion Ms. Charlotte LaBuff have duties to attend, there's no time for play dates, so have a good day Madam."

He almost closed the door when We heard a loud and smooth voice yell "STOP!"

Naveen ran down the stairs till he was in front of the door.  "Lawrence, what are you doing?"

"Well, I-I-I. Sire this, rift raft was just asking to invade our home. I was sending her on her way."

"I believe she clearly said she is a family friend. Am I mistaken?" Naveen swung the door wide open by now, extending his arm to me. I noticed his accent was thicker, his voice a little more stern. His face was completely serious. Not a trace of his former smirk.

"W-well. Sire she could very well be a reporter in disguise."

"Im in no mood for your stupid assumptions Lawrence. Its uncalled for and will not be tolerated. I understand your occupation is to
watch over me but you will not interfere with whom I chose to hang out with. My life is my life, your are just here to advise me on it. Is that clear?" Lawrence did'nt respond. Only looking down. Naveen reached out to grab my hand and pulled me inside. Without my consent, a shiver ran up my arm at the touch of his hand on mine.

We walked along the hallway, Lawrence a little ways behind us. "When did he get here?" I asked

Naveen didn't even look my way. " Last night. I wasn't expecting him."

"Oh."  I was quiet for while, just letting him drag me down the hallway. "Well...That was...interesting." I said to him. His demeanor soften a little and he smirked at me.
