*last part guys. I promise lol
"Your almost there..."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. As the stale air filled my lungs, I noticed that I didnt smell any like food...which was crazy because all around me, people were eating. And then I realized....this was all an illusion... A lie. He doesn't give two cents about me or my daddy achieving our dream, only tricking me into doing his bidding.
"No." I said angrily "Daddy always taught me to get what I want through hard work, not wishing on stars." I gave him a harsh glare and he began to back up. "He taught me to never loose sight of what's important." I raised the scepter high above my head once again.
"Now Tiana...lets think this through darling." He warned with his hands raised in surrender.
"And right now, what's important to me is defeating you!" I slammed the scepter down and close my eyes anticipating the shattering of glass... only it never came. "What?" I looked down and to my horror, there was a shadow sitting at my feet. It snatched the scepter out of my grip and handed it to its master. He was now laughing diabolically as the scene of the beautiful restaurant melted away.
He caressed the scepter and smiled a evil, toothy grin. "Well, you had your chance to make your move in this little game we're playing." His smile faded slightly and his eyes changed color from brown to purple. "Now its my turn." He pointed his scepter at me and a beam of green light shot out in my direction. Thankfully, I dodged it just in time.
I looked around desperately and found what I was looking for. He was laying lifelessly on the ground. He looked as if he was thrown against the wall. I ran to Naveen and picked him up in my shaky hands. Despite the fact that his slimy green skin looked deathly pale, I convinced myself that he was still alive.
" He's dead you foolish girl, his heart has stopped beating. The process is already in action. Your too late."
Tears began to stream down my eyes. "SHUT UP! IM SICK OF YOU AND YOUR LIES!" I brought Naveen to my lips and kiss him lightly, but nothing happened. I tried at least 4 more times but nothing happened.
"Having fun?" Shadow man asked in a unamused tome. "Its not very sanitary to put your lips on dead animals."
"I don't understand. Im-im a princess for a day. It should work!" I was screaming now. Holding the cold, slimy frog body in both my hands, I refuse to except that I failed Naveen. He cant be dead!
"This is just sad." He lifted the scepter now in the same position he had before. "Now hold still and die. My patients is growing thin."
"Uh uh uh." Shadow man turned around and got punched to the ground by some one dressed in all black...Ray?
"LOUIS, the scepter!" He snatched the scepter out of Shadow Man's hand and threw it over to Louis, who was also wearing all black.
"BE CAREFUL YOU FOOLS!" He protested helplessly. "YOU CANT IMAGINE THE POWER THAT STAFF POSSES!"
"Well I guess well find out won't we." He slammed the scepter on the ground and this time, we all heard the shatter. In fact, the impact was so great, the lights from the Mardi Gras parade blew out.
"Woah! Did I do that?" Louis said in astonishment.
We started to feel the earth shake and being to crack under our feet. We heard people gasp in the distance in the direction of the parade.
"You interrupted!" Shadow Man stood up on shaky legs, holding the side of his face that Ray punched. "Do understand what you have done!?"
Louis grabbed all of us by our arms and pushed over to find cover. We ducked behind a large rock and peeked from around the other side.
Right when he did, we saw a shadowy figure rise out of the cracks in the ground."Please!" Facilier got on his knee's in front of the figure! "I need more time."
The shadows that previously were under his control swirled around him now, laughing and taunting him. A few came close to him and scratched him across the face and his arms. "I swear I can fix this!" They grabbed on to his legs and began to pull him to the opening they came from. "No! Oh please no!" He clawed at the dirt but it was no use. "All I need is one more chance! OH PLEASE! NO!" The last of his cries were muffled by the crackle of thunder that ripped through the sky. Lightning came down and zapped the ground directly in front of Facilier, causing smoke and dirt to fill the air, blocking our views. Once the smoke cleared, they were all gone without a trace.
In my cupped hands, I could feel Naveen's frog body vibrating and growing warmer. Looking down at him, his body had a green glow that was getting brighter by the second. I set him on the ground and we all stood back as the green glow over took his tiny green corps and shot up to the sky. All around us, we could see green beams of light in the sky in various direction. Soon, the light ceased to shine, and a human Naveen was left in its place.
"Naveen!" I ran to him and lifted his body in my arms. His eyes slowly fluttered open and the tears came streaming down my face. I hugged him close to me and sobbed loudly. I tried to control myself, but I couldn't!
"I thought- I lost- y-you!" I choked out through tiny breaths. I felt his strong arm wrap around my back making me gasp. I forgot about the electricity that I felt when he touched me. He sat himself up and we had to break away. I felt disappointment wash over me but that soon disappeared when I saw his beautiful green-hazel eyes stare down at me.
"Tiana..." He whispered dangerously low. I felt a fire ignite deep inside of me and tried to calm my breathing. If Naveen had died, I don't know how I could have ever moved on. I tried to wipe the tears from my eyes, but new ones kept falling. He reached out to grab my hand and slowly pulled us both up to our feet, never breaking eye contact.
"Welcome back my man." I forgot Louis and Ray were here until they came behind him and slapped him on this shoulders. Naveen turned to smile at the two boys. "Louis! Ray!" He gave each of them a hug and laughed happily. "Im so happy to see you all." He let go of them and then turned back to me. "I owe my life to you guys. Thank you."
All I could do was nod my head pathetically.
