"How have you been dear?" He asked me, crossing his hands behind his back.
"Cant complain...but I must say I miss going to school." I said sadly.
He laughed heartily... Or at least he intended it to be heartily, it came out more sinister. "Life's not so easy when your in the real world huh? Don't worry, I'm sure everything will turn out fine. In all my years of being principal of Bayou High, you were always one of my most promising students."
I smiled. "Thank you sir. Really means a lot. If you don't mind me asking, what brings you here tonight?"
He chuckled, straightening his jacket. "Would you believe this old man knows the royal family on a personal level?"
My eyes widen. "Really?"
"Of course. I remember Naveen when he was just a lil ole' boy. Runnin' ' round everywhere, causing all sorts of commotion in the castle." He looked over to the crowed of girls raising glasses of alcohol, hooting and hollering while dancing on Naveen. "I guess some things never change."
I suppressed a laugh. "Well I'm sure he will be happy to see you again."
Dr. Facilier shook his head and waved his hand downward. "Nah, I wouldn't want to ruin his fun. And besides, its been so long ago, chances are he won't remember me."
I nodded my head in understanding. " Must be cool to know royalty from around the world like that."
"Well, a guy like me always finds it handy to have friends on the other side."
I didn't know what he meant by that, but I wasn't planning on asking him.
"Hello Charlotte." Lotte came stumbling back toward me and my former principal. "Lovely party your father put together."
"T-Thank you." She slurred. She stumbled into me and I had to help her on her feet. She leaned in close to my ear and tried to whisper. "W-Whaat's he d-doing here?" But it failed cause Dr. Facilier looked down and smiled.
"Actually, I was just leaving Ms. LaBuff." He waved. "Give both of your parents my regards ladies."
"Sure thing Dr. , Goodnight." I called as he slithered back to the other side of the party.
"I don't remembering i-inviting that rapist." I gasped and stared at Lotte with a shocked look on my face.
"Why would you say that? Oh my God! What if he heard you?"
"Good. I dont c-care. I m-mean there is a reason he has the nickname s-shadow man."
"He is kind of creepy....but I mean he's my former principal. And he's a nice guy."
"They always are until they RAPE YOU!" She busted out into laughter and some of the guest looked over at us.
"Okay, your really drunk. Lets get you inside."
"No! I w-want the fre-esh AIR!" She bursted into more giggles as I pushed her through the crowed toward the house.
"Were just gonna lie down for a moment."
"But I wanna dance!" She broke away from me and ran toward the pool that was turned into a dance floor, screaming and shouting "whooo hoooo" the whole way there.
"Sigh...Charlotte." This was gonna be a long night.

It is a little past 2:00 a.m and all of the guest have gone on home. Mr. LaBuff retired to his room and told me I was welcome to stay over tonight if I wanted, which I was thinking about cause I didn't feel like riding the bus all the way home.
