DANCE WITH ME

Okay guys, heres one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie, when Tiana and Naveen have their first dance. I uploaded a song that I think is perfect for the dancing scene so DONT PRESS PLAY TILL I GIVE THE SIGNAL!...

"Tia." My mom came downstairs. "Sister Darling from church is having her singles movie thing tonight, I won't be home till morning, don't worry she will drop me off."

I walk to the door to let her out. " Why are you always leaving whenever Naveen comes to visit?"

She gave me a smug look then kissed me on the cheek. "Bye baby-cakes. Lock this door when I leave." She went out the door, walking along the path to the bus stop as the dim light faded to night. I shut the door and locked it as I was told.

I rested my head on the doorway, trying to hold back my cry of frustration. He's making it official...tomorrow! Why did he think he could just spring this kind of thing on me at the last minute. Why did I care so much if he did. I mean, that was the deal we had right? Keep him in good graces with Mr. LaBuff so he could get Charlotte to marry him and win his fortune back. I knew this all along, so why was I so hurt by it now.

I walked back into the kitchen where Naveen was still working on the mushrooms. Poor kid. "Did you tell Louis and them about your plans?"

"I told Louis, I told Ray... But I cant work up the nerve to tell Travis. He always had a crush on Charlotte, no?"

I bowed my head. "Im going to go tell him."

Naveen nodded his head. "He'll take it better from you, but he'll hate my guts after tomorrow night."

"I'll be right back, just put the minced veggies in the pot, put the lid on it, then leave it alone."

He gave me a solute, "aye aye captain."

I walked into my bedroom and called Travis. He took a while to pick up. "Hello"

"Trav. Hey, you sound tired."

"I am." He chuckled." Dad let me off work early today." He yawned loudly in my ear. "I was taking a nap."

I sighed. "Well sorry to wake you up, But I have something to tell you." There was silence on the other side. I cleared my throat. "Naveen... He's going to purpose to Lotte..." I squeezed my eyes closed. "Tomorrow night."

Travis was so silent it that I could hear my own heart breaking for him. "Travis, you there?"

"Sorry, yeah I'm here.I'm just...thinking." I heard him moving around in his bed, probably sitting up. "When did you find out?"

"Naveen came over here and told me just now. He wants me to help him set the scene for him."

"Well tell him I said congratulations." We were silent yet again. "I uh... I gotta go Tia. Thanks for...telling me about it. I'll see you tomorrow at work."

"Okay. I'll see you then. Buh bye."

"Bye." Then he hung up.

I sadly made my way to the kitchen where Naveen was still cutting up the food.

"Man you still working on those 'shrooms?" I looked over his shoulder and was surprised to see that he was actually finishing up cutting the apples and berries we need to make the fruit tarts.

"Naveen!" I said excitedly. "You minced!"

"I did!" He replied happily. " It's actually pretty easy when you get used to it."

I laughed and patted him on the back. "Good job prince charming." I walked over to my gumbo pot and finished throwing my ingredients together. "Okay, now lets get started on those fruit tarts."
