The night went on perfectly. Besides the fact that someone was already dead.

Katherine moved swiftly through the crowd, eyes set on Matt Donovan. She grabbed him and pulled him aside, Listen Matty," she began to compel Matt, saying how to trigger the Lockwoods' secret gene.

Katherine would always hear about Ashlynn through Mason, he would never shut up about his picture perfect daughter, she wanted to make her less than perfect. "I will anger Tyler, make him snap." Matt repeated, putting a sick smile onto the vampire's face.

Ashlynn roamed the halls, glancing at the art. Katherine watched behind from the people, following Ashlynn's moves.

She wanted to trigger her gene.

Damon waited for Stefan on top of the stairs outside, watching for Katherine.

"Where's the bitch?" Damon asked aggravated.

"Just wait, she'll be coming soon." Stefan calmed his older sibling down, Damon mentioned Ashlynn's part involved.. "Ashlynn is armed and ready for whatever she'll pull, I trust she's fine on her own, seeing as she almost killed me."

Katherine approached slowly onto the unsuspecting teen, but another annoying human had gotten in the way. "Elena! Hi, you look so gorg!" Amy told Katherine, thinking she was Elena.

"Thank you, but I need you to do me a favor." Kat began to compel. "I want you to start a fight with Ashlynn Lockwood. Fight her, kill her even, make her angry enough to make her snap."

Before Tyler and Matt entered the mayor's office, Ashlynn sat on the couch alone, staring at the picture frames laid across the coffee table.

"Ashlynn," Amy said, monotoned.

Ashlynn stood up and looked behind her, seeing Amy standing with a knife in her hand. Her heart almost beat out of her chest as she was staring at the knife.

"Do I know you?" Ash asked, but Amy charged at her.

Ashlynn tried to run from the room but Katherine shut the doors, locking them till the deed was done. "Someone help! Please, help!" Ashlynn screamed as Amy came closer.

Amy lifted the knife to stab, running to Ash. With one quick movement, Ashlynn punched her. The problem with her punch is that all her fear and anger was transferred into it, giving it all of her strength.

She accidentally snapped Amy's neck. The crack echoed in the room along with the collapse of a body. Ashlynn breathed heavy and began to cry, sliding onto the floor.

"Ashlynn? Ashlynn, we're coming inside." Stefan announced. When the two brothers entered the room, Ashlynn was on the floor, crying across from Amy's mangled body. "I-I killed her. I didn't mean it, I promise! She was trying to kill me," Ash cried.

"It's ok, it isn't your fault." Stefan told her.

"Who are you? Damon is that you?" she asked standing and shaking.

"Yeah, it's me. Katherine still doesn't know what's going on with this plan, Ashlynn needs to leave" Damon told the two.

. "We'll be killing Katherine for this. Go take a walk or something, come back before midnight, we can talk about this." Stefan told the girl as she walked outside.

God, she was angry. Ash began in a walk, then a run to unleash her inner beast. She wanted to forget what has happened to her, the curse now laid upon her shoulders. The mansion's driveway was full of cars but Ashlynn ran through them all, tossing her shoes. She ran as fast as she could till someone had tripped her, making her fall and hit her head. She became unconscious.

Ok this chapter sucked a whole lot so I apologize, another chapter will but up soon ❤️
