"This is absurd! I can not be engaged to him!" Ashlynn screamed at Jules and Brody, pointing to her almost Grey. She was absolutely disgusted with the idea of being even near him, let alone marrying him. Back in Florida, he had really been around and Ashlynn found out. Let's just say that relationship didn't end well."Brody, tell her to cool down, please. Last thing I need is for my soon-to-be-wife hating me." Grey smirked to her knowing this was making her angry. Ash rolled her eyes and folded her arms. They had a staring contest as Ashlynn gave the coldest stare while Greyson smiled and laughed. "C'mon babe, you still can't be mad at me." He approached her, but she slapped him in the face. Greyson knew he provoked the feisty female.
Ashlynn's world was turning upside down as the minutes passed. The hybrid soon and quickly coming for her was the cherry on top of a already crumbling cake. She knew there has to be a loophole, something to help her get out of this toxic engagement.
"Jules, I don't have time for any of this at the moment okay? I have a psychopath out to get me if I hang around with any guys and I rather not be responsible for any deaths." Grey's hand grabbed Ashlynn's waist, making her growl as he pulled her back into him "Who is out to get you, Ashy? I'll protect you." he whispered huskily into her ear. Ash struggled in his grasp and finally was able to push him off "No one you have to be concerned about, it's getting darker, I have to leave now." Once again, she was grabbed by Grey and was pushed into Brody's trailer, Grey locking it from outside keeping the two trapped inside.
Ash banged onto the door, kicking and pounding it like it was a punching bag "No use, Brody tightened everything at my Alpha request." Grey told her making Ash scoff.
"Alpha? You're an alpha? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard."
"Oh believe me, babe, it's true and you're my future luna."
"Woah woah woah! Luna? Hell no! I'm not your mate, dude, she's out there somewhere and that surely isn't me I guarantee." Ash was then pushed into the booth, Grey sitting opposite of her and handing her a coffee mug "I made you some, didn't know if you liked coffee so--" Ash cut him off "Yeah I sure do! Oh you remembered!" she said faking sweetness and even throwing out a fake smile. Greyson never paid attention half the time to Ashlynn, only so much can make her truly happy.
"You sure changed," Grey commented, sipping his drink.
"How did you become a wolf?" Ash asked, trying to change the subject.
"Drunk driving accident during high school last year."
"Did you know about the engagement when we were together?" Ashlynn grew suspicious.
"Yeah. I knew. I mean, I thought you were hot, but I hated being tied down. Believe it or not I have changed." She asked more questions and kept him occupied as she tried to look for another exit.
"Are you still a virgin? It's completely okay if you aren't." Grey stifled a laugh.
"Why asked? Afraid I actually moved on from your pathetic ass?" Ashlynn spat out and sipped her vanilla coffee. Grey leaned across the table, grabbing her jaw and forcing her to look into his eyes "Listen to me, Ashy. We are going to be married within the next couple months, so I suggest you start getting used to me." Ashlynn growled and head slammed him, he groaned and clutched his head in pain. Ash thought fast and jumped out the window, rolling in the broken glass surrounded by the midnight darkness. She had never faster than she had ran that night, running into the Lockwood mansion and falling over Tyler, "Ash! What the hell?" he asked her obviously pissed.
Ashlynn jumped up, locking all the doors and running to her bedroom. She slid against her door and took a deep, calm breath. Just like everyday, there was the same pink envelope. Ash walked to it and ripped open the paper, too tired to put in the effort to rip it to shreds.
Ashlynn,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss, truly. I know it seems like you're alone, but you aren't and trust me when I tell you I know how it feels like to be alone. I've been alone for the past thousand years, maybe my siblings gave me some company but it was always you I had wanted. Please be safe and don't do anything you'll regret.
Klaus
Ash threw the note in the garbage and took out her diary she hadn't written in what seemed like centuries.
Dear Diary,
It seems I had let go of whatever goodness I had in my life, there's only darkness and pain. Daddy is dead, I have a vampire for a mate, I'm betrothed to an alpha I absolutely HATE and I can't even leave town. My life has truly turned upside down drastically and dramatically. Being a werewolf is fucking torture, to be honest I'd rather die everyday rather to go through the same pain I had faced on my birthday. The world and universe has truly cursed me as a monster who must walk amongst the earth, hating myself for as long as I live.
Love,
Ashlynn Lockwood.
Sorry if you're v confused
