Ashlynn's POV
The darkness enveloped me inside the trunk, the air getting suffocatingly warm. I woke up and someone else was next to me, this better not be a dead body. I banged onto the trunk as hard as I could all night, but the damn thing was basically indestructible. The car finally came to a stop, jolting at the brakes, I closed my eyes and pretended I was unconscious but I heard people talking.
"Where are they?" The man speaking spoke with an English accent, fancy.
"In the trunk. I did exactly what you said."
"Good. Put the one I told you about in the back and the other in the back seat."
Footsteps advanced closer to me and the person beside me so I held in my breath, the trunk opened and the sunlight peaked through my eyelids.
The man who gotten me last night picked me up bridal style and placed me into someone's car, the soft seating was much more comfortable than the damned trunk. The other was placed somewhere else.
"Thank you for your help."
"Is there anything else?"
"One more thing. Come closer, please. Closer..."
Those words was all I heard before I heard an animalistic sound, a crunch and felt struggling against the car, shaking it violently. I smelt the air, breathing in a sour taste. My nose played with these new scents, my guess was the sourness was blood. The car began to start up and move "I know you're awake, wolfie no need to fake." the man told me as I opened my eyes and sat up in the seat.
"How'd you know?" I asked.
"Your heartbeat, it began to excellerate the moment you got in this car." I mental cursed at myself for not keeping calm. The man had sunglasses on and a hat to shade the rays of the sunlight from hitting him, looking through the tinted window shield at the vacant road. Something is definitely off about him, was he even remotely human? There has to be more creatures unlike myself, but really, how many others exist?
Wherever we were supposed to be going, it took a long while probably up to an hour or two away from outside of Mystic Falls. I kept my mouth shut the whole ride, knowing it was best to say quiet.
The wooded scenery gave me goosebumps as the car ventured to what looks to be an abandoned mansion. The man pulled the door open for me and grabbed the other girl in the back, pushing me forward into the house. I look and see Elena Gilbert, the girl I had only met the other day. Why would they want her? As we walked in, my gaze went to the raggedy old walls and stairway, gulping hard.
"Please.." the girl begged half awake as she was placed on a small couch. The man undressed from his creepy attire and sat down, untying her fast, I walked to the Elena rubbing my left arm in fear of what will happen to her.
"What do you want?" she asked the man.
"Shh." he kept saying, but she wouldn't just shut up.
"Please, I'm hurt."
"I know."
The mans eyes turned into a bright red and veins popped from beneath his eyelids making me scream as he tried to bite the girl, of course I was dealing with the bloodsuckers. I tried making a mad dash for it, but a woman with short hair grabbed me and threw me onto the wooden floor "Trevor! Control yourself."
Tears pricked my eyes as Trevor removed himself from the couch, the woman looking towards me and the frightened the Gilbert girl. I was absolutely terrified.
