Chapter 19

Manik stirs gently, eyes fluttering open to the sight of nandini sleeping beside him, her breath steady, her face serene

A single strand of hair has fallen across her cheek, he smiles and carefully brushes it aside, his finger lingering for a moment on her skin

Manik- still the most beautiful thing I have ever seen

Just then the door creeks opened, two figures peek in. Manik and namik, their eyes still sleepy

Manik lifts a finger to his lips and signal them to come as he opens his other arm as nandu was laying on one, inviting them in

Manik gently shift nandu a little, cradling her close without waking her, she sighs softly and snuggle her face in his neck making him chuckle

Manvi climb up and lay on his chest, while namik was snuggling on the other side of him

Manik- had a good night my stars?

Namik- yes papa

Manik- so who wanna have breakfast made by me today?

Manvi - me papa please

After a few minutes

Manik chuckle slightly and they got up leaving nandu sleeping snuggling in his pillow

He fresh up and went to the kitchen. He made manvi and namik sit on the counter. The twins were swinging their legs and watching him

Manik- so what will you two like to order today?
He said making them chuckle

Manvi- pancakes with smiley face

Manik laughed and look for the ingredients needed, he then began mixing the batter.
As he finish, he place the tip of his finger in the batter and bought it to the twins lips and laugh as before they opened their mouth he rubs it on their nose

Then nandu walked in, her hair messy and eyes half closed. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed

She stopped at the doorway, blinking at the scene, manik was flipping the pancakes, the kids laughing, and her sleepiness vanish like magic

With a playful smile she tiptoe closer and put a finger on her lips as she saw the kids looking at her

Manvi and namik giggle but placed their palms over their mouth, trying to be quiet

But manik, even without turning around felt her presence and said - good morning nandu

Nandu groan- ugh, how do you always know?

Manik turned with a wink- because I'm manik malhotra

She rolled her eyes
And the kids giggle

Manik- go and freshen up nandu, ill set the table and then we will have breakfast, and yes call champ, mukti and abhi also because cabir isn't home
Nandu nodded and went

As nandu left manik thought of something- by the way kids?

They hummed

Manik continue- u said you're also a singer but u never sing infront of me, not fair

Namik- oho papa, remember we told you there is a school function, we will sing there and you will be there na.

Manvi- we surprise you papa

Manik chuckle and said okok kids, I can't wait though to see my stars singing on stage ,but is it just you two? Or others?

Manvi- papa ,you will know na when you see
Manik laughed at her expression
