Chapter 14

Here nandu, rishab, abhi, and mukti along with the twins stepped into the hospital, the sterile scent of antiseptic welcomed them.

The twins clutched Rishab and Abhi's hands tightly, their eyes held excitement, a mix of anticipation and nervousness

They always craved for their father's warmth and love, especially when they saw their friends' fathers picking them up from school and listening to what their friends told them about their father

As they reached room 207 Manik Ward, they saw Raj and Cabir sitting there. Their arms crossed and eyes red from the sleepless night

Nandu- let me check on him first, will call u guys in afterwards

Everyone nodded

She turned to the kids and said- Just a bit ok
They nodded

Nandu pushed open the door, her breath catching in her throat. Seeing Nandu who entered the room the doctor who was inside went out nodding respectfully

There was manik, lying still ,his frame thinner yet looks hot hehe

Her fingers tremble as she reaches out and gently caresses his hair, brushing it back like she used to do

Feeling her touch Manik blinked, slowly his eyes shifted to meet hers

Nandu-- he whispered, his voice hoarse, barely audible

She choked back a sob- manik, yes it's me

Manik- I know you're not, I know you will disappear in a few minutes again

Nandu- I am here, I'm really here. See u can touch me

His hand moved weakly reaching for her, she took it ,holding it tightly

Nandu- all says your were dead, but I never believed it
She murmured

Manik- I heard you, in the dark.. I heard your voice, it was the only thing that felt real, for so long
He was talking about after he woke up from coma, everytime when he slept only nandu resides in his mind

She kissed his forehead letting her tears fall freely

Manik- I didn't had hope, I don't know why but I agree to come here, I didn't know you're here

She smile through her tears- fate has its own way of bringing us back, we are together humesha forever

Manik- do you hate me for disappearing?

She shook her head- how can I manik? I know you'll find your way back,I know you're alive somewhere and nothing was your fault ,it was just life playing with us

They look at each other, And they were filled with pain, love, hope

Before they could continue someone entered
