As I plunged into the water, my feet hitting the bottom- it felt like I had forgotten how to swim, and for some reason I wasn't floating. My head started throbbing, and my lungs were screaming for air.

I felt and arm wrap around my bare stomach. It started to pull me up above the surface.

"Eleven feet too deep?" A pair of blue eyes stared intently at me. His eyebrows were furrowed, and his light blonde hair was sticking to his forehead.

"Hi Luke." I squeaked, pushing out of his grasp.

"You okay there?" He asked, chuckling.

"Yeah." I said, taking a deep breath.

"Cool."

"Cool."

We just stared at eachother. Awkward silence consuming us, having nothing to say.

"So, how's the party been?" He asked, his brows furrowing once again.

"Good, good. How about you?" I questioned, mentally slapping myself for asking that.

"Eh," he chuckled, "wanna leave?" A glint appeared in his eye, as he bit his lip.

"Well there's nothing else to do." I giggled, ten mentally slapping myself again. Now is not the time to be an awkward fuck.

We exited out of the pool, I put my overalls on and he put a tee on.

"So where to?" I asked, walking with him towards the front gate.

"Um, In-N-Out?" He asked.

"Perks of living in California am I right?" I giggled, he giggled too. "Oh my god." I giggled again, causing him to be confused.

"What?" He asked.

"You just giggled." I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Damn, now we need to go do something manly." He said, putting his hands on his hips and puffing his chest out.

"Like what?" I slid my keycard into the gate, it took three tried but u finally got it open.

"Go to the ball pit at the Mall!" He squealed.

I shook my head, "That's for six year olds."

"It says six and up," he pointed out, "were up." He smiled, exposing his dimples.

"There's an In-N-Out at the mall center. Should we go get my car?" I asked him.

"No were going on an adventure, so were going to get a taxi." He smiled.

"Okie dokie." I smiled, pulling out my phone and calling for a taxi.

"So how's Baylee?" I asked, talking about his girlfriend.

"She's a self-proclaimed uberbitch, we broke up." He said, waving hi hands in the air.

"Uberbitch?" I asked, not knowing what it meant.

"Yep." He said, not explaining it. I decided not to ask.

We arrived at the Mall, thirty minutes later. Luke rushing the the In-N-Out.

"Luke!" I shouted, running after him.

By the time I go there he was waiting outside with a grin on his face. I looked at him funny.

"What? I'm sorry there aren't any In-N-Outs in Sydney." He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest and tried acting mad, but a smile eventually crossed his features.

"Okay, okay." I raised my hands in defence, chucking.

We walked in, instantly greeted by the aroma; the white walls and red racing stripes made it look like you were back in the 90's. My thoughts were interrupted by the blonde next to me.
