Chapter 17: Rescue Lyra

"Jinx's POV"

Clank and I were a bit surprise to see that we were back on Tropos but I was so worry about Lyra, I look down at the shard in my paws and notice Ratchet coming from the teleporter. He started to run to his ship and got in ready,"Hey Ratchet! Wait for us!" I called out as we ran to him. "Hello Ratchet" we became shock when hearing Rig's voice from the ship,"I may have come across something that belongs to you" he told us as he showed...Lyie!!! She was in a cage with yellow lasers!"lyra!" We all yelled out her name,"if you don't want anything to happen to her I suggest you come and get her" he chuckled evilly at us."Ratchet don't listen to him! Just go!" We overheard Lyra yell but she got zapped by Rig,"I've already send the location, better hurry" he told us before the screen went black. Ratchet got out of the ship and walked away, Clank and I had a feeling he was going to save Ly so we along with him. Don't worry Lyie cause we're coming.
"Ratchet's POV"

I was really angry after seeing that video, it didn't take long but we manage to find the location Lyra was held at. It had some water and I looked frantically for Lyra until seeing her chained against the wall,"Ly!" I yelled to get her attention."Ratchet!" She yelled as she struggles from the chains on her arms, We ran to get her out but some black smoke got in the way revealing itself to be Galaxion."ah I see you came. How generous of you to come" we overheard Rig and he was just the person I'm looking for, Vendra was standing next to him and looked uneasy about this."Let her go Rig" I demanded but he wouldn't listen to me and instead order Vendra to destroy me."you want Lyra your gonna have to go through me" she said as she got prepared for battle,Jinx and Clank snuck away to free Lyra. Rig and Galaxion were just gonna watch me fight Vendra.

I manage to beat Vendra, I noticed Lyra was freed and unharmed which made me glad."aargh! Your useless but maybe he isn't" Rig told as he raised his fingers and snap,then Galaxion turn into a black cloud and came charging at me. I embraced myself for anything."Ratchet! Nooooo!" I got pushed as Lyra yelled and that black cloud hit her,"Lyra!" I heard Vendra yell and flew to her.
"Vendra's POV"

Oh no!"Lyra!" I yelled as I flew to her, I grabbed her arms and shook her but she wouldn't budge,she was standing still and felt cold and her eyes were closed. I shook her one more time but no use, this is all my fault, I lost my only friend, I gently cupped her face with both hands. Next thing I knew once her eyes open I get blown away and rolled on the ground,then everything goes black.
"Ratchet's POV"

I was shocked to see Vendra get blown away, Clank and Jinx were shocked but we all glared at Rig as he started to laugh."oh this is too good" he told us but i was not happy,"What did you do to her?!" I yelled as I felt my blood boil inside,"nothing,its just Galaxion has taken over her body so...you'll have to fight her" he told me as he looked behind me. I turned around quickly to see Lyra walking towards me and the way she looks was scary, her fur was now white with black stripes, her hair was black and her eyes were violet. She started to float and it look like I had to fight her."Sorry Ly, this might hurt" I warn her as I got out my omniwrench.

I was out of breath, I couldn't feel myself breath."Ratchet!" I overheard Clank yell,"Catch her Ratchet!" I heard Jinx but as soon I looked up Lyra went unconscious and fell. I quickly caught her before she could've hit the ground,she was back to normal but she didn't look two good,she started to clench her teeth while trying to open her eyes. "R-Ratchet?" She stuttered and she sounded really weak," don't worry Ly,I'm here. your safe now" I reassured her as I still had her in my arms,"I-I'm weak,Galaxion took all my strength" she told me as she tried to lift her hand up but it started to drop. I caught it before it fell and looked in her eyes,"you'll be okay besides I kept that promise" I reminded her and she smile at me as she rested her head on my chest.
"Lyra's POV"

I was relived that Ratchet came to save me,"Vendra attack now!" I overheard Rig yell and we all look at Vendra and Rig but Ven's face had a look of sadness but it soon became anger as she threw energy blasts at Rig but missed much to our surprise,"you dare hurt my friend?! I'm done with getting revenge!" She yelled as she flew near us and used herself as a shield. "Very well,after you have been a useful pawn" he told Vendra but I noticed she was shocked and angry. Then Galaxion started talking to Rig and he had a shocked exoression,"what?! But I'm your master now!" He yelled but then Galaxion went right in him and he screamed and turned into black dust much to our shock. "Run now!" Vendra order us as she flew but then the ground started to shake and we all fell, I started to slide and couldn't stop but I was grabbed by Ratchet who held on the ledge with his other hand."Lyra are you okay?" He asked me and I reassured him,"now can you pull us up?" I asked him as I looked at the ground.
"Ratchet's POV"

"I kinda can't Ly" I told her sounding uneasily due to the fact I couldn't climb up with one hand,"so we're stuck? As in fall to our doom stuck?!" She asked starting to sound scared,"yes" I answered as my hand slip and we both started to yell but we hit something soft. It can't be the ground, I looked around and they were seat cushions,Jinx and Clank were in them to but Jinx was...driving my ship?! "You know how to drive?!" I overheard Lyra question Jinx and he said no but he said he was going o get us out of here.

We got away but I turn to Lyra who seemed upset,"hey Ly I'm sorry if I attacked you" I said feeling really bad about myself,"its not you I'm upset, it's Vendra. I can't believe she risked her life for us" she told me as she walked up to me. "Will find Vendra,I'm sure she's okay" I reassured as I placed both hands on her shoulders, "Ratchet I've gotten a message from Neftin that he's found something and wants us at planet Thram at once" I overheard Clank and we were all surprise."Then let's get back to the ship" I ordered and we all left but Lyra, I had a feeling she wanted to say something,"Ratchet listen, remember the temple we found? I think if we get that seal open inside then will find something,you will come with me right?" She asked me as she slowly placed her hand on my cheek. I nodded and we both ran to find that temple.
