A/N The pic is Andrea. Just imagine her with glasses.

Once Clover was in her stall, I took off all the tack. I have her a big hug around her neck. She lowered her head and snorted.

"How about I groom you?"

She bobbed her head up and down. Clover is a smart horse. She knows what a lot of words mean. (Besides commands).

I pulled out her grooming bin and grabbed her favorite purple curry comb. I had tons of extra grooming supplies just in case I lost one.

I started to brush Clovers black coat when Callie walked into Black Jacks stall.

"Oh hi Anastasia. I guess we're stable neighbors." She said happily.

"I guess we are, and you can just call me Anna."

"Sure."

Callie's point of view

Man that girl was good. She went over the jumps like they were nothing. She was the best one there. She'll definitely make it into the advanced team.

She is a talented rider and her horse is beautiful. She's so fit and elegant.

I spotted Mr. Connor walking towards us. He held a clipboard and a pen.

"Congrats Anastasia. You are now part of the advanced team! You should be proud of yourself."

"OH MY GOD! Thank you so much!" Anna exclaimed. She looked more than happy and so did Clover.

Anna's point of view

WE DID IT WE DID IT! OH MAH GAWWWWD! I threw my arms around Clover. We're going to regionals!!!!

"That's great Anna!" Callie said giving me a high five.

"Well, I'm gonna take Black Jack out on a ride with Sasha and Charm. I'll catch you later."

"Bye."

I finished up grooming Clover, gave her a final hug and left to go back to my dorm. It was almost 11 o'clock. I wonder what they make at the cafeteria. I unlocked the dorm room and Andrea was painting her nails at her desk.

"Hey Anna! So, how'd ya do?"

"I got the only spot in the advanced team!"

"Omg that's so awesome! I haven't seen you ride but being in the advanced must mean you are seriously talented."

"Thanks!"

"So, what do you do?" I asked her.

"Well, I'm in a band, I play the trumpet."

"Really? That's so cool!"

"We get to travel all around the world. Our first performance will be at New York!" Andrea said.

"You get to go to New York? Lucky!"

We both laughed and continued our conversation. We swapped numbers and I started to organize my stuff a bit more. When I finished, I decided to call my mom.

Andrea had left for a band meeting so I was all alone.

I dialed her number and she immediately picked up.

"Hi mom." I said

"Hey sweetheart. How's it going so far?"

"Actually, really great. We took a riding test and only one person could make it to the advanced team."

"Was it you?"

"YES!"

"Baby I'm so proud of you. I knew you would do fine." My mom gushed

"So how's the farm doing?"

"Really great. Misty looks like she's gonna have her baby soon."

At our farm we had lots of horses and lots of them had babies. Our farm sold horses, but we made sure they were in good hands.

"That's great! To bad I won't be there." I said sadly. I love seeing new foals.

"Well I gotta go help your father clean all the stables. I'll tell him the good news."

"Bye mom."

"By Ann."

I hung up the phone and checked the time. We were having a riding meeting in 3 minutes!

I can't be late for the first meeting. I slipped on my boots, helmet and dashed out the door and down 3 floors of stairs again. I was exhausted but I kept going. I raced over to the indoor arena and through the slightly opened door.

Only three girls, I wasn't late. Phew. But Sasha looked strangely upset.

"Unfortunately, while Cassie and Sasha were out trail riding with their horses, Black Jack sprained his ankle and is now in the hospital with Cassie." Mr. Connor said.

That was awful. I would cry if Clover hurt herself.

"How long do you think it will take for the horses leg to heal?" Alison asked.

"The sprain wasn't that bad so I say about two to three weeks." Mr. Connor said.

Everyone went on with the meeting.

Mr.Connor told us all the rules. No trail riding without a partner, take care of your horse, the grooms won't do everything for you, check the horses legs frequently, the list goes on.

He handed out a rule book for each of us and dismissed the meeting.

Poor Callie, I really feel bad for her.
