After the meeting I hurried back over to my dorm to grab some school things and my backpack. I slipped on some flats instead of my riding boots.

I came back down to the cafeteria. It was almost lunchtime. I quickly found the cafeteria and opened the door.

On the left side there was a long counter where people were being served food. The rest of the space was filled with tables and loud teenagers. I lined up and grabbed a bright red tray. Wow, it was sparkling clean.

The line moved down and I slid my tray down the rack. Once I grabbed a plate, the lunch lady's gave me a hotdog, fries and a cookie. Yum!

I moved out of the way to let other people through. Now where was I gonna sit?

Thankfully I spotted Andrea getting served food. She saw me too and walked over.

"Hey Anna!" She said with a bubbly smile.

"Hi Andrea. Where do you think we should sit?" I asked her.

"Well, I'm sitting over with some of my new band mates. They said they were discussing something important. If your new, gotta fit in right? I just want them to like me, they were talking about getting a new harder song."

"Yeah... It's cool." I said fake laughing.

"I'm so sorry, I promise tomorrow at breakfast I'll sit with you." Andrea said and walked over to a table.

Great! Now what do I do?

I scanned the room looking for someone else to sit with but I didn't really know anyone besides Andrea and Callie.

It would be kinda weird if I just sat down at Callie's table with the rest of them. I just got into the team, I'm not going to instantly be her friend.

I managed to find an empty table and plopped my stuff down. I felt like such a loser eating alone. I bit into my hotdog.
Mmm it was so good! I turned a little bit happier. I would be fine eating food like this all year.

I sighed deeply. Wow, I had never been this lonely on my first day of school. Normally I make friends right away but I guess not.

I gobbled down the rest of my lunch and checked which class I was going to. Great! It was math, my specialty. (Note the sarcasm.)

I sat quietly blocking out the talking with my headphones. I started playing some Taylor Swift. Her voice calms me down, even if it's a revenge song.

Once I saw people standing up and leaving, I put my phone away and made sure I had everything in my backpack.

I walked out of the cafeteria and over to Winchester where classes were starting. I hurried inside and searched for room 206.

Someone tapped my shoulder. I spun around and saw Callie.

"You looking for room 206? "

"Yeah."

"It's a little far, most of the new people don't know where to go, but luckily you've got me!" Callie said and led me down to the very end of the hallway. I found an empty seat and Callie went to sit by Sasha. Maybe Callie counted me as I friend? I hope so!

At the end of the day I rushed back up the stairs and into my room.

I opened the door and peeked inside. Andrea wasn't here yet. It was five o'clock, It would be time for dinner in one hour.

I took off my shoes and plopped down on my bed. I pulled out my phone and texted my dad.

"Everything is going great so far, see you in a month."

I should probably unpack the rest of my stuff. I hung up my fancy dresses and blouses on the hangers and put my pants on a shelf under the hangers. My riding pants and shirts went in a separate place and I put all my riding boots on the side. The rest of my shoes went into the bottom shelf.

I put my books into an empty book shelf and moved my makeup and toothbrush into the bathroom. I applied a second coat of mascara and combed and curled my hair.

I slipped on my riding boots and helmet and walked out the door. I ran to the stables and quickly found Clover. She was gobbling down her food.

Clover glanced up at me and tilted her head towards the other stables. I looked down and saw Sasha and another boy with her horse. I don't know why but I recognized that boy.

He suddenly turned his head and looked my in the eye.

"Anna?"

"JACOB!" I exclaimed.

He ran towards me and gave me a big hug. He use to be my best friend until I started going to those boarding schools. After that I never spoke to him again.

"I haven't seen you in so long. How are things going?"

"Great" he replied.

"So, you decided to get into the boarding school stuff?"

"I guess so. Do you want to hang out some time?"

"Sure!" I replied eagerly. I think it great to catch up with old friends. We exchanged numbers and looked back at Sasha.

Jacob changed so much. He was really hot now, I have to admit.

"You two know each other?" Sasha asked awkwardly.

"We use to be best friends before Anna left to go to a boarding school."

"Oh" Sasha said uncomfortably.

Were they on a date? Did they like each other? I might of ruined their moment. I don't want to interfere with anyone's love life, especially my with my old friends.

Crap! I'm so dumb.

"Well, I'll see you later" I said faking a smile. That was so awkward!

I totally ruined it. Wow! It was great to see Jacob and stuff but now Sasha might think I like him.

Which I don't...

Sasha and Jacob walked away, their hands almost touching. Sasha looked back at me and I quickly turned away.

That was the most awkward moment of my life.
