"Mr. Grassi, do you know what happened to Scott?" The officer asked as he got a pen to write notes.

I shook my head slowly, "I didn't mean too."

"Tell me what happened."

"He... he made me angry. I just... overreacted and killed him."

"That isn't a good way of dealing with anger." The officer retorted in an annoyed tone.

I scoffed, "You don't understand. He made me /angry/."

He nodded, "You made that clear enough, sir."

"Officer, have you ever been cheated on?"

He glanced at me briefly, "A time or two in high school. Why do you ask?"

"Okay, well. Imagine being cheated on by you're best friend of fifteen years. All that anger and rage... all because someone couldn't stay with you for a while."

He scribbled on the paper, taking in each word I said, "That still doesn't seem like a valid reason."

"Please let me finish, sir." He nodded, giving me a go ahead, "All that I put into that friendship is gone. All because he couldn't handle the quote unquote drama."

"Mr. Grassi, please realize that you murdered a human being."

I nodded, staying calm, "I know what I did sir."

"Then how do you expect simple anger to be an excuse to kill?"

"Because, officer, all the built up anger can amount in a lot. Some express it in break downs. Some express it in yelling. I decided to express my pent up rage in murder."
