I slowly raised my hand to knock on the door of the Zalfie house hold. As the door opened I saw Zoe, she looked so concerned and worried. My face is probably super badly tear stained and puffy but she can read me like a book, she knows something has happened.
"Joe?" She questioned as she let me into the house. She slowly shut the door behind me.
"She's gone Zoe." I wept. She took me into a hug, I could feel her top getting soggier and soggier as she held me tighter and tighter, never letting go.
" oh Joe, I'm so sorry," she whispered into my hair. I just kept crying into her, letting all of my emotions go.
"Hey!" Alfie tried to say happily from behind me. I could feel Zoe's mouth moving on my shoulder, she was obviously mouthing something to Alfie.
"How am I going to cope with two kids on my own?" I said as I leaned out of our hug.
"You're a great dad Joe! Alfie and I are always here for you, when the kids get over I can give Georgia girly advice, you don't need to worry!" Zoe reassured me. I just sniffed and went into the living room where both the kids were. Jackson immediately came running up to me and started to give me a cuddle.
"Hey lil man." I choked as I picked him up and held him close to me.
" mama?" He said, giving me his signature cheeky smile. Of course I couldn't help but burst into tears.
"No mummy gone to a special place." I sniffed, swaying him from side to side. "It's just gonna be you me and Georgia from now on! Mummy's in the sky, a star, she is the biggest brightest one."
And that was it, just me, Jackson, and Georgia. I only got 8 years with my beautiful wife. I wish I had told her how much I loved her and how much she meant to me. Those are the things I would say to her if I could turn back time.
Another book finished! I have to admit I have cried multiple times whilst writing this but this has to be one of my favourite books to write. Thank you for your continual support on this book, I have got messages multiple time saying that you guys love this book and honestly your opinions mean the world to me. Hope you guys liked it! I may not be doing a sequel to this just yet but youtubelover004 is writing a prequel to this book so you should go over and read her book love in LA.
