I slowly walked through the doors of the baby unit for the last time. I could barely open the door because my arms were taken up by Georgia's car seat, little outfits for her and fluffy blankets. As I walked over to my little girl I saw that she was wide awake and wiggling happily in her cot.
"Hello baby!" I whispered, taking her hospital baby grow off and replacing it with a pink baby grow with a bunny rabbit print and a little pink cardigan, her first ever outfit. Soon after arriving the doctor discharged my daughter so I carefully place her in the white car seat which was covered with navy blue stars, then covering her over with the blanket. I slowly walked out of the ward, with Georgia in my hands and started to walk in the direction of intensive care.
"Hey Mol," I said softly, placing Georgia's car seat on a plastic hospital chair before undoing it and slowly picking up the baby. "I brought a little tiny someone to see you. Baby Georgia wants a cuddle with her mummy." I slowly lowered Georgia into the crook of Molly arm and then got my phone out and took a quick picture. Even though Molly had tubes coming in and out of her I knew that this one photo could be the only one I will ever have of Georgia and Molly. The baby started to snuggle into her mummy like they had met ages ago and it was that point where I couldn't help but let the tears fall from my eyes. I then had to take poor Georgia away from her mummy and out I the ICU, now time for her to meet her big brother.
