Hey guys, this is just a short, barely edited, filler chapter, but it's super cute. Remember to vote, vote, vote!

I woke up at 10 a.m. with a smile on my face and completely relaxed. So relaxed that I was okay with having our kitten lay on my face.

So relax that I forgot for a second that we didn't have a cat.

"Carly?" I halfway yelled. I picked up the tiny furball and eyed it.

"What?" she yelled back from somewhere in the house

"When did we get a kitten?" I heard her run to my room. She burst through my door, flustered.

"Oh great, you found him." she rubbed her head. "You like cats, right?" I inspected the cat some more.

"I suppose." he let a tiny meow "he is pretty cute. Where did you find him?" knowing that she couldn't help but to bring another stray into the house.

"He was on our porch." she crawled into the bed, right next to us.

"Perfect." I sat the cat in between us. He locked Carly's face before deciding to lay down. "We need to name him, and other things." She smiled and nodded

"Let's name him something cool. Like cocaine."

"We're not naming him cocaine, I don't care how cool it sounds." she sighed.

"How about Kobra?"

"Eh.."  I shrugged.

"You're right. How about....Nova!" I looked at him again. His jet black fur and green eyes looking at me. I smiled.

"That's perfect."

We were at a pet store 15 minutes away from our house. We were trying to buy any and everything for a new furry baby. We had food, toys, a scratching post, treats, a collar, clothes, and a litter box. Nova on the other hand, was getting his shots so we could shower him with love once we got home. "I think we've picked up everything." Carly said once we were in line

"Hopefully. I'm pretty sure a tiny, hairy son will love it."

"I can't believe we're cat parents!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down. I laughed.

"Me either." if I wasn't in such a good mood then I would've lost my mind when I found the stray kitten on my face, but instead, I ended up falling in love with him. "Hopefully he's in a good mood when we pick him up." she nodded. We quickly picked up the bags and rushed to the car, trying to rush to get the kitten.

"We have to get him a collar with an outer space print on it!" Carly started bouncing in her seat. I smiled and nodded.

"I'll look on the internet for one." I said as we pulled up to the vet parking lot. We both jumped out and rushed to the door.

"Ah, you two." the receptionist said to us. "Nova is all done. He only needed a few shots." she talked walking us to where they were holding him. Once we reached his cage, he was fast asleep. My heart melted. My baby. Carly held onto me, as she was feeling the same thing I was.

"Was he good?" I asked her in a hushed tone. She nodded

"He was perfect." Carly slowly picked up the cage. "We'll send you a card to notify you when you should bring him, okay?" I nodded. We walked out of the building, in love with the new addition to our family.

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Meow." I was watching Nova and Carly go back and forth with each other. I sat next to them, recording the interaction. I couldn't help but to giggle. I took a picture of Nova and decided to send it to Noah.

Kaylee:
Look at the newest addition to my family.

I looked back at them. They were still going at it when my phone vibrated.

Noah:
! He can have a play date with Pasta.

I smiled at the thought.

Kaylee:
That would be beyond cute.

Noah:
Then we could have a date too. Make sure both of my kittens are taken care of.

I couldn't help but to blush and put my phone down. Biting my smile, I went to play with the kitten too, happy this little fur baby crawled into our lives.
