Guess who is back!
***
Being pregnant sucks. My feet were swollen, I was always hungry, and this kid was making me piss so much, I considered wearing a diaper. Dylan moved into my room, mainly because he was afraid of what might happen to the baby if he misses a moment. Noah came over every day after work to check on me, and Carly, well, Carly is Carly. She hasn't showed her face since the incident. Ever since Noah started staying over the house, she would call him more and more, worried. After the fifth call from her tonight, I finally had to ask.
"Are you and Carly together or what?" we were all in the living room watching tv like how we used to. Dylan began rubbing cocoa butter on my stomach because I broke down in the bathroom this morning about how big my stretch marks might get. Noah looked up from his phone and sighed.
"We're not but she's kind of bussing my balls. I'm only one argument away from hurting her feelings." He locked his phone. "She thinks that I'm trying to win you back." Me and Dylan burst out laughing.
"As if I would even think about being with you again." I laughed out. Noah rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, Yeah. I'm not the one who needs to hear that." His phone lit up with another call. He looked at it and did an obnoxious groan.
"Her again?" Dylan asked just as he started to rub more cocoa butter on me.
"Who else would it be?" He asked. Noah then turned his phone off.
"Well, how about you make us some food to get your mind off of that? Get to it." I smiled at him.
"Really?" Noah asked me
Dylan spoke up for me "Yes, really. You're still on probation. You have to earn your right to hang with the cool kids again." I nodded in agreement."What would you like babe? Do you still want pasta?" He asked me. I smiled and nodded. Noah sighed and headed into the kitchen.
"Are you excited?" I asked Dylan, "We get to see what kind of genitals the baby has next week." Dylan laughed.
"I'm excited but how about you word that differently, you creep." I opened my mouth to say something else but there was a knock at the door. "I'll go get that, babe." He kiss my forehead and went to go answer the door. I put my focus on the television. There was a commercial with a puppy. I've always wanted a dog. Babies are like puppies, right?
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard soft arguing. "Dylan? Who is it?" I yelled. The arguing stopped and I looked into the kitchen where me and Noah connected eyes. We both walked to the door to see the person who has been avoiding me.
"Carly, what are you doing here?" Noah rubbed his hands on his apron.
"You weren't answering my calls." was all she said. She couldn't stop eyeing me. I gave her a smile and she looked away.
"That's cause I turned my phone, you don't need to call me repeatedly." I could feel the anger radiate off of him.
"When you don't come home on time, I do." She said through her teeth.
"We're not even together!" He yelled. Ouch. "So you call me twenty times in a row, then pop up over here, as if this isn't your ex-best friend's house, because you think I'm cheating on you with her, which isn't even possible since we're not together. She is the mother of my child, a child we almost lost because we stressed her out." He stepped closer to her. "We live together and we f*ck. That's about it. I don't know what you're expecting out of me, but you should of got that from Dylan when you had the chance." He then turned away from her and walked away. "Dinner will be done in 30 minutes." He said as he went back into the kitchen.
"Well." I said as the rest of us stood around awkwardly. "That was messy."
