Red lighting continuously flashed over head as Murray rolled the truck to a stop outside the Hawkins Lab. "All right, lab rats, let's scurry up." He greeted the members of his team as he pulled open the truck's shutters. "An entire dimension's about to come crashing down on our heads."
"Hey." Mike said, causing El to pause as she moved to climb out of the truck. "Is everything okay?" She nodded her head in reply. "Listen, I know this plan is totally mad, and a million things have to go right, and a million things could and probably will go wrong. But we can do this. I know it. One last fight, and this whole nightmare, it'll be over. It'll finally be over."
A small smile graced El's face as she pulled the boy into a hug, before letting go and allowing Hopper to help her climb out of the truck. Cat scrambled out after her, wrapping her arms tightly around the younger girl before the group of four could disappear into the lab. "Be safe." She said into El's ear, hugging her as tightly as she could.
El nodded her head into her sister's shoulder. "You too."
"You've got this. I believe in you." Cat told her. "I only wish I still had my powers so I could help you end this bastard once and for all. I don't like the idea of you going up against him on your own."
"I won't be alone. I'll have Max and Kali." El reminded her, tilting her head in the direction of their other sister.
"I know, I know. I just wish I was going with you to help."
El placed her hand on Cat's shoulder. "I'll be okay. Besides, we need you here in case he retreats back to the physical plain."
Cat gave El one last squeeze before reluctantly pulling away. "Good luck. See you on the other side." She placed a quick kiss on the top of the girl's head before stepping backwards in the direction of the truck.
"See you on the other side, Cat." El smiled softly at her as Hopper ushered and the others towards the lab.
Cat waved at the small group before she turned on her heel and hurried over to the passenger seat in the truck's cabin. "You alright?" Steve asked, putting the truck into drive and beginning to drive their team towards the radio station.
"Yeah." Cat answered, her voice quiet as she watched the group through the truck's wing-mirror. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just anxious, that's all."
Taking one hand off the wheel, Steve gently grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly. "It's gonna be okay. If anyone can defeat Vecna, El can. Especially now she's got help."
Cat nodded her head slightly, resting the side of her face on the window. "I know." She said. "I know."

"Hey, Robin, yeah. Can you please tell me that that was guys and not more of those, like, mutant Cujos?" Vickie's panicked voice rang out from the walkie-talkie as the group exited the truck outside the Upside Down version of the Squawk.
