Now on with the story-----

1 week later,

I woke up to my alarm which was blasting nine in the afternoon by panic! At the disco.

I smashed my phone a few days ago by dropping it on the floor so I actually had to turn the alarm off instead of just pressing snooze because otherwise it freezes up and blah blah blah... #sigh

I went into my phone seeing I had a text from Brooklyn.

B- hey Mak, come down to 182 blink avenue quick!

I let a frown take over my lips. That was the name my mom used to call me when I was younger.

Today was her anniversary you see.

She died 12 years ago today.

On the eighth of July she passed away.

I remember as if it was yesterday.

But it wasn't, it was today.

I quickly packed my butterfly backpack with my toys, coat, teddy and some sweeties that Mommy let me choose at the shop.

I ran over to the car, sat in my booster seat and patiently waited for Mommy to come and put my seatbelt on.

After two long boring minutes she appeared from the house carrying a box of Capri suns! Oh boy this is gonna be the best play date EVER!!!

Mom buckled up my seatbelt then drove me to Suzies house. I hopped out of the car and skipped up to the door, whilst holding Mommys hand. I knocked on the door three times and put my pigtails behind my back.

Julie, Suzies Mommy came to the door and invited my mommy in for a drink.

"Oh I'm good thank you! I need to go grocery shopping! Thanks for the offer though!" My mommy lied.

She didn't need to go grocery shopping! We went yesterday!

She rubbed her overly large tummy whilst Mrs. Higgings spoke again.

"We'll be careful, your very heavily and late into your pregnancy!"

"I'll be fine, don't worry about me!" She simply smiled before bending down to me.

She gave me a warm hug, something kicked my stomach

"Oww" I smiled

"What was that?" I asked, a giggle playing at my lips

"That was your baby sister, Lilly, who you will be meeting hopefully tonight!" She kissed me on the lips and waved goodbye whilst blowing a kiss

"I love you mommy"

flashback ended

I never met Lilly.

Nor did I ever see my mommy again
