Joshua's P.O.V.
Okay I'm fit but not "I have abs and tattoos" fit. Drake's body could make a straight man, gay.
But Holy Shit they have to do that much? In that little time? Why the hell were they even smiling?
Uncle looked at them proudly as they raced to finish the push-ups and sit-ups first.
"Judging by the look on your face, you don't know who they are do you?" Uncle Austin asked me, after he sent a text to my mom telling her to come to his gym.
"They are The MadDragons, one of the strongest groups of fighters out there..."
"I used to know Desiree, She used to live in the states, we were close but she's a whole different person now." I said looking at them as they finished the push-ups, I look at my watch, Holy shit ten minutes?!?
"Since Desiree is a girl's name I'm gonna say its Fire, right?" He asked.
"You don't know their names?" I looked at him incredulously.
"It kind of slipped, they both came here 4 years ago, it was a very interesting day, when they got accepted. I've called them Fire and Ice ever since. Look where they are now." He looked at them with so much pride.
"By the way why did they looke so surprised when they heard you laugh?" It was true, they looked at him like he grew a second head.
"Well do you remember when I was still in the military?" It was rhetorical but I nodded anyway.
"The main reason I joined was because of my anger problems, when I left I sometimes lashed out on Isabel and Anna, so I had to do something, I applied for a job here, only some were under me though. They said I was too strict, the others who stayed were determined to lose weight fast, because of my strict routines they would visibly lose fat in a month, so people came and went."
"But when these two came they allowed me to lash out on them and be strict, because of that My anger slowly dissolved, I still lash out on them every now and then but they said it was okay, both of their parents were young when they had them so they don't have much attention from their parents."
"They said it made them feel important when I got mad at them, that I got mad because they weren't doing it right, because I wanted them to do good, it's true I do care for these kids, they're like my second children, Because of that they were happy, Ice had less asthma and anxiety attacks and Fire's depression disappeared and her "overheating syndrome" slowly vanished."
"Overheating syndrome?" I asked, I don't think there's any syndrome like that.
"She likes to call it that, Fire has a weak heart so everytime she plays for more than an hour, like a gadget she overheats. She has to drink cold water for it to completely disappear, it's still there because she still has a weak heart, but over the years we managed to expand her time, from one hour, it became two, then , three and so on, for now she can play for at least 24 hours without cold water."
"Anyways back to your question, it's because I take training seriously so they're not used to me showing emotion." He smiled sadly.
"Sometimes I think I'm too hard on them but they say its okay, that it still made them feel important."
"The day I met them was the day everything changed."
"What happened that day?" I ask curiously.
"A lot happened that day but let's start from the beginning. If you looked at them five years ago and you look at them now, you wouldn't even recognize them" He chuckled.
