It was finally the day, it was the day of her first contest. She'd been practicing with her band for only a week so she was fairly new to the concept but luckily she used to perform in her school.
Their band was a bit more unique than others', their drummer was only seven, their pianist was eleven, she was the guitarist at twelve and both of their vocals were ten. They were the youngest in the contest.
"Honey, let's go, the others are waiting." Her mom, Therese, called out to her.
"I'm coming." She replied while grabbing her phone and wallet, along with her guitar.
She trotted down the stairs and saw her mom packing some food and her dad drinking coffee. Her mom nodded to the direction of their car. She followed headed outside, her parents following behind her.
"Hey Margaret, are you nervous?" Her dad asked once they got to the studio. They decided to practice before the contest.
"No." She replied shortly, she was always the quiet kid when she was with her parents but loud and crazy once with her friends.
They walked out of their car and headed to the building.
"Mr. And Mrs. Acacia, the others are already in the studio." The receptionist, Megan, informed them. They thanked her and headed upstairs.
"YAYY MARG IS HEREE."
"MARG."
"YAYY."
"Hi Marg."
Her bandmates greeted her, the last greeting coming from the second eldest, their pianist, Cheska.
"Hey guys." She said with a chuckle. She set her guitar down and greeted the parents that were there.

"Alright guys, let's have one last round of Lips of An Angel by Hinder." Cheska and Chynna's -the drummer's- dad said, they'd been practicing for a good two hours or so.
They got back into position and played the song one last time.
"That was great guys!" Cheska and Chynna's dad, Ceasar, said.
Their coaches or teachers high-fived and congratulated them.

Margaret looked at herself in the mirror, she was a bit over weight for her age so she was a bit conscious of how she looked. She promised herself that she would be fit once she graduated from highschool.
"Come on!! It's starting!" Chynna said to her while pulling and tugging her hand. She followed the little one and saw that all the bands were bunched together, they found the rest of their band mates and stayed with them.
