"Okay, Elena. I've got an application form here. Just fill it out tonight and I'll pick it up tomorrow on the way to Wrap House. I'll give it to the boss first thing and I'm sure he'll ask you to start working immediately, so be prepared and dress appropriately," Aunt Annie rushes out before she leaves the room.
I don't know what she's in a rush for, but I'm sure she wants to head back to watching the captivating television show she was watching earlier. It might also be the fact that it's midnight and she has to get up tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning... I shrug and plop back into my cousin's bed. I grab the pen I had lying in my purse and fill out the application. This is my first time filling an application and I didn't know what to write in the skills section. I'm sure watching dramas is not a skill the boss would like to see on my application. Writing false things about myself just makes it look embarrassing when I'm nothing like how I write myself up to be.
I sigh deeply and put my hair into a neat bun at the top of my head. I fill in the basic information, which includes my name, address, phone number, etc. and save the hardest parts for last. The area where it asks for my past employment information is where I write down the restaurant where I worked the previous summers with my dad. The major reason why I took this opportunity is because it's related to my previous job and my dad sold his restaurant earlier last month, so there's no chance of me working there again this summer.
For the skills section, it takes me a couple minutes, but I just put down my hobbies and the best characteristics needed for Wrap House. I write down piano, math, and cashier and before I can give more thought into it, I return the application to my aunt so she can bring it for the boss.

"Hello, Elena? Rise and shine! Great news, Kenneth reviewed your application and he needs you here now. My husband is going to drive you to the mall right away, okay? Get ready and be here by 11am, Elena!"
"That was quick! How fast did he read through the application? I figured it would take a few days before he responds to me..." I trailed off, anxiety beginning to spread through my mind.
"Apparently, there's another girl looking for a job here, so Kenneth is going to have you both come here and train. He will most likely give you a tour of Wrap House and he might have you shadow Sean or something..."
"Sean? I've never heard you talk about him... Is he the manager or something?" I question.
"Sean is slightly younger than you, but he's been here for almost a year. He's a really nice eighteen-year-old young man, so don't be afraid to ask him for help, Elena. He's got a good grip on how to wrap the food properly and he's like a manager's assistant."
"Okay, I'll take your word for it. I'll just put on some light make-up and see you soon," I assure her.
"All right. I have to go now, but good luck and remember, be here by 11am!" my aunt exclaims before ending the call with me.
I hurry to the bathroom and take a good look at my face. Good, no pimples or breakouts for now... that's always a plus. I hurry and line my eyes with my trusty dark brown eyeliner. Then, I take the brown eyebrow powder and give my eyebrows better shape and color. I feel like everyone either has bushy eyebrows or practically has no eyebrows. I'm one of the unlucky few... how I wish I could just pluck and have perfect eyebrows! So much better than have to draw in eyebrows every morning. Finally, I run some light pink tinted lip moisturizer on my lips and rush back into my temporary room.
