"That's when you know for sure somebody loves you. They figure out what you need and they give it to you, without you asking."

To say the least, Sunday is always a busy day for us at Great Wraps. You can expect the lunch rush to consist of long lines, endless chaos, and pounding headaches. Today was no different. The customers were standing in long lines extending pass the walls that separated our store from the smoothie place next to us. To my left, I could see the Chipotle lines twice as long and thanked the heavens that we didn't have such a long line. To the right, the smoothie place is definitely no different, based on the sounds of the blenders working full speed without a break.
A nudge to my side gently wakes me up from my temporary daydreaming as a voice speaks near my ear.
"Hey, move to your right, Cheese Queen. Apparently, you aren't working quickly enough so I was sent your way to grace your presence with the skills of a Wrap God."
I scoff and roll my eyes before shuffling to the right.
"It's not my fault the American Cheese won't peel itself. Why does Kenneth insist on cutting these squares into triangles beforehand? Now, it's all refrigerated and the slices are hard to peel away from each other without looking like they were butchered," I defend myself.
"Of course, love," he says. "Blame it on Kenneth, why don't you? As much as I want to agree with you on that case, I think we better hurry, yeah? This line is getting pretty long and Taylor and Michael at the veggie station are waiting for us."
"Yeah, any day now," Taylor teases in a sing-song way.
"Oh yeah, well Sean and I are about to beat your butts. We'll send all these customers your way soon and you two will be scrambling to finish wrapping these orders," I say competitively. "Just watch!"
"Fine, let's have a competition then. I bet we'll finish wrapping faster than you two can work the hot station," Michael states.
Sean and I share a knowing look before agreeing. For the next hour and a half before my lunch break starts, we worked together as a great team. It was kind of funny how he would know what I needed before I even reached for it and I would have the cheeses he needed before he even reached for them.
He takes the order for the Philly Wrap and smacks some of the steak onto the wrap quickly. Before his hands twitch to get the cheese, I quickly grab the two slices of American Cheese from the containers and place them onto the steak before putting the whole wrap into the oven to cook. By the time I turn back to Sean, I see he has begun preparing for the next order, which I can already tell was a Gyro Wrap. I grab the hot wire plates and place four slices of gyro onto it while Sean gets the pita bread from the plastic bags. I toss both ingredients into the oven and press the 30 second button to heat up the gyro and bread. When I turn back, Sean is in the process of opening the sub sandwiches in half. I quickly reach over for the mayonnaise and onions and place them on the bread a second after Sean finishes spreading the steak pieces over the bread evenly. He then grabs the American Cheese and places them on top of the ingredients I put and I take the sandwich and put it into the oven.
"You know, you two can take your time, Elena," a voice drifts over, tired and relenting.
"Why? What's wrong? Sean and I are working perfectly fine."
"I'm too tired. Do you want to switch stations? I want to work the hot station," Taylor whines. "Michael's being a mess over here."
"No, I am not! You're the one dropping the banana peppers into the Z sauce!"
