"The real reason I took you out tonight wasn't cause of your dad. I had come over to tell you something but you looked so sad I didn't want to make you worry about anything."
"Okay well get on with it."
"Well recently the reason why I haven't been talking to you is because I have."
"You have a what?"
"I have a girlfriend'" Everything in me felt different I had like this jealousy feeling but I didn't want to but I had.
"Oh well that's good."
"Your not mad?"
"No why would I be mad?"
"Cause you are my best friend."
"It seems like you want me to be mad."
"No no it's just I thought you would be."
"Well I'm not. So when do I get to meet her?"
"Uh I don't know tomorrow?"
"okay well I'm going to head home to see if anything has happened with my dad/"

"Bye." I decided to walk home I didn't want to sit in a car with a guy I was practically falling for! I walked in my house tired of drama it's like one thing after another around here. First with Justin then Cameron then my dad now Cameron again!
I checked the messages on the answering machine
"Uh hi Jessica this is Sara and I wanted to tell you that your father is going into open heart surgery and it's very critical." I was so scared I thought of the only thing I could do. Pray. I went to sleep and it was a Sunday night so I had school the next day. The last thing I thought was where does she go to school?
"I woke up on time today thankfully. I got dressed and I heard a loud noise come from upstairs and it sounded like a jump. I went upstairs and seen Cameron.
"What the heck are you doing!"
"Oh you know just hanging."
"Oh and what if I was I don't know changing?!"
"But you weren't."
"Whatever so what are you doing?"
"I want to give you a ride to school."
"And why aren't you doing this for your girlfriend?"
"She is going with someone else."
"Oh well I'm going with Luke sorry?"
"Oh well okay then see ya at school?"
"Okay see you there." After Cameron left I went downstairs to call my dad's room.
"Hello Is there someone in that room named Patrick Payne?"
"Uh no he just went into emergency open heart surgery."
"Oh uh can you give him a message?"
"Yea sure what?"
"Tell him I miss him and Love him!" My voice cracked.
"Okay will do.'' I heard a knock at the door.
"One second." I yelled I wiped the tears from my face and put on mascara and eyeliner. I opened the door.
"Hey babe." He kissed me.
"Hey you ready?"
"Yea. Hey what's wrong you don't seem like you?"
"Oh just family stuff nothing important?"
"Well your eyes are puffy and red were you crying?"
"Yea just something about my father."
"Oh what happened?"
"He had to go into open heart surgery."
"Oh well I'm sorry."
"Thanks." We drove to school.
When we arrived I seen Cameron kissing a girl she had red skimpy hair.
"Hey Jess this is Natalia."
Hey it's nice to meet you I've heard nice things about you Jessica."
"Me too! Can you call me Jess or Jessie cause I don't really like Jessica.''
"Yea sure thing so what's your full name?"
"Why?"
"Just tell me it's cool trust me."
"Okay Jessica Elizabeth Payne why?"
"Your name will be Jess." That's exactly what I said! She is stupid.
"Yea I wonder how you came up with that?"
"It's a talent."
"Yea well I'll see you later Jess, Natalia,"
"Bye." I said.
"So Jess it seems like you and Cameron are close right?"
"Yea I mean I guess you could say that."
"Well let's get something straight you stay out of mine and Cameron's life and we won't have any problems okay?"
"Yea sure but me and you need to get one thing clear that you might want to run this by Cameron."
"Oh I uh did." I hate her so much like I could just freaking punch her in the face!
Immediately following I went straight to Cameron to find out the truth.
"Cameron." I screamed out of breath.
"Oh hey Jess."
"No time for Hey's did Natalia tell you?"
"No about what?"
"She said she told you that I had to stay away from you and not get in her way."
"No I never said that I never said that at all!"
"Well I can say is I hate her!"
"yea I have to go talk to her I'll be back."
