You were - unfortunately - awake not long after you had fallen asleep. Sleep had been fleeting the past couple of days, with too much on your mind for you to rest properly. The sun had only just started peaking its way through the clouds as you mindlessly slip your brown boots over your foot, each movement slower than the last.

"We will travel in two carriages." Jungkook had finally arrived at the scene carrying a copious amount of supplies on his shoulders. A couple of the guards rush over to help him load up the supplies into the carriage in the back. "Taehyung and the guards will travel in the first, and the rest will travel in the second. It will act as a supply carriage when we enter the walls of the Veil."

Leaning forward, you tighten the leather strap that secures your dagger's sheath on your thigh, Jungkook's words blurring into the background chatter of the guards. You had completely zoned out, which was not like you. You hadn't been feeling like yourself ever since you had entered the castle...perhaps some time in the forest can help.

"Need a hand?" Knocking you back to your senses, you look up to find Hoseok smiling down at you.

You nod sheepishly, "Thank you."

You had met Hoseok a couple of times as a child while travelling with Yoongi, they have always been fond of each other. They bickered like an elderly couple, Hoseok's relentless optimism clashing with Yoongi's dry, pessimistic one.

Speaking of which, you wonder if Hoseok might know where Yoongi had vanished to - though then again, disappearing into the shadows had always been Yoongi's way.

"Have you heard from him?" You say before bending over to pick up one side of the trunk.

Hoseok mirrors your action, and together you carry the wooden box towards the carriage. It was a lot heavier than you expected, and you were struggling slightly with it.

"Yoongi?" Hoseok chuckles, "You know that's not his style."

You smile at his comment - Yoongi had always had a reputation for vanishing when it suited him. "Guess some habits never change." Both of you dramatically dropped the wooden trunk at the rear entrance of the carriage, a puff of exhaustion escaping your lips. "What is in this thing?"

"Peace offerings for the Veil," Namjoon says as he greets the two of you at the entrance, his hands reaching out and gesturing for you to lift the box for him to grab from the inside.

"Shiney distractions," Hoseok corrects.

It was nice to have Hoseok on the team; he always seemed to make a heavy situation a lot lighter. Despite the circumstances you now found yourself in, you realised you were smiling for the first time in a long while, your mind lighter than it had been the night before.

The rest of the morning goes by in a blur. It was not long before everything was packed away inside the carriage, and you were on the way into the forest.
