Time passes by slowly - it was probably due to the fact that you hadn't slept properly in days.. Your body fought to stay awake, exhaustion tugging relentlessly at your limbs. Your head nodded forward and back as you drifted in and out of shallow sleep - this went on for what felt like a couple of hours after you all reboarded the carriage.

Eventually, you feel the carriage coming to a stop, prompting you to poke your head out of the window to see what was going on.

"Captain, I think we should stop here." You watch as two guards appear from further up the path and stop in front of their captain. "We have found a small clearing just off the road we can use to rest for the night."

"Well done." Jungkook nods his head, permitting the guards to set up camp for the night. They immediately get to work, opening boxes and bringing out an assortment of supplies for the night.

Happy to have something to distract your mind from nodding off, you hop out of the back of the carriage. You and Leila join the guards, picking up some supplies they had taken out of the trunks and following them to where they had agreed to set up camp. It was only a five-minute walk away from the carriage, and you needed to push through a section of thick shrubbery. But once you were through, it opened up to a flat clearing - like it had been made perfectly for people to use it as a campsite.

Soft green grass covered the flat space, with tall trees that enclosed the space, creating a sort of fence on the right side. On the left, there was a small river that flowed into a small body of water. And if it wasn't already perfect enough, sunlight filtered through the branches above, settling in warm patches across the ground.

"The forest never ceases to amaze me." Leila smiles gently before setting down the box in her hands onto the floor.

"The grass looks so comfortable." You look lazily at the plush green grass, the thought of finally getting a good night's rest bringing a big smile to your face. The bed you had slept in in the castle was too soft, and it was starting to hurt your back - that may have contributed to your sleepless nights in the castle.

"It's a lot cooler in here, or is it just me?" Hoseok says as he drops the supplies he had carried down onto the ground.

"Feels the same to me." Namjoon shrugs his shoulders in response.

"No, Hoseok is right, it's usually not as cold as it is during this time of year in the forest." Leila wraps her arms around herself and looks deeper into the forest. "Things are changing here...fast."

"It is not something wine and a warm campfire cannot fix." Hoseok scurries off to the side of the clearing and begins to collect some firewood.

His comment causes Namjoon to simultaneously laugh and shake his head. "Typical." He says as he begins to bend over and rummage through the trunks.

You join Hoseok in the hunt for wood, and in no time, you have a handsome pile of firewood in the middle of the clearing. Clicking his fingers together, Hoseok summons a bright orange flame on his fingertips before flicking it towards the pile of sticks. The fire caught quickly, lighting the clearing that was now beginning to darken. "Much better." He smiles contentedly with his hands facing the fire.
