Reader's POV (play music)

"Y/n, haven't you thought about the future lately?" One of my three best friends, Akiza Izinski asked, handing me a textbook that I needed for homework.

"Future?" I tilted my head, confused.

"I mean, you've been in this school for ten years, right? Don't tell me you're going to Jenovia Academy's college?!" She replied, her voice gradually becoming shocked.

I stared into her amber eyes and smiled. "Maybe I will go to the college."

"No no no, Y/n L/n! You need to do everything in moderation!" Akiza protested, causing my two other best friends to crowd around me.

My brunette friend, Tea Gardener nodded her head in agreement, her blue eyes studded with determination. "Instead of studying your head off tonight, maybe you should look for some colleges when you get home?"

I shook my head. "Nope, Jenovia College is the one for me!"

Alexis Rhodes, the golden haired one protested against Tea. "It's great that Y/n studies so much! It's vital to a healthy school life!!"

Tea shot back. "It's also a one-way path to going freakin insane!"

"What does that even mean?!"

"Stress, Lexi! Stress! You go through it almost every Saturday!"

"That's preposterous! Saturday is my favorite day!"

"You text me every damn Saturday because you're feeling sad."

"That's not stress, then, that's just depression."

"That adds to my point!"

"No it doesn't! LOL!"

"LOL?! Are you going through an alter ego transformation?!"

It was just as Tea said. Alexis has about three different personalities. Teenage girl, responsible and independent (normal) , and pompous. You can guess which one she's going through now.

Alexis pulled out her phone from thin air. "O. M. G. Like, Tea, you need to like, calm down before I like, put on Twitter that you're in anger management~."

"I'm not in Anger Management!" Tea argued.

"You might as well be..." Akiza butt in.

Alexis' teenage girl personality converted into her normal personality. "Nevertheless, we're still in school. We can't let the teachers hear us."

I laughed nervously and started walking towards the entrance of the school. "Yeah, we should probably get going so you two can argue on the way home."

Akiza and Tea had always parted ways from Alexis and I. Tea and the golden haired girl had been arguing about studying and goofing off at home with little comments from Akiza and I.

Alexis was her teenage girl personality at the moment. "O. M. G. Y/n, you like, totally heard everything that Tea like said to me? Her logic was like so lame! Lame, lame, L. A. M. E., OMG, laaaaame!!"

I laughed nervously. "Well, I'm glad that even in your Airhead Personality, you still love to study, Alexis."

"You like, think so? LOL. Cause, I was like, winning, and then she had to like, leave, and I was like, 'W.T.H.? Like, I'm not done beating you in an argument."

I smiled at her. "Still, I'm glad we all live in the same neighborhood."

"Duh! You said it, girlfriend. Like, totally." We smiled at each other until I felt a strong push on my back.

Suddenly I was on the ground with the weight pushing me down. "Wh-what?!" I gasped, confused.

I heard Alexis scream, "Are you, like, serious?! Like, get your hands off me, Casanova! If you like, want this body so bad, you should like, tell me first!!"

A new voice entered the scene. "Sorry, sorry, I didn't see where I was going." It was masculine.

As soon as the weight was lifted off of me, the two of us leaped up, spun on our heels and glared at the offender. "Please! Watch where you're going next time!!"

The man who had bumped into us held up his hands defensively. He looked like he was in his -teens. He was chestnut-haired, but there was a patch of honey colored hair on his head. His eyes were chocolate and full of innocence. "Sorry, ladies!"

I sighed deeply. "It's fine, but be careful!"

Alexis, however, was not so forgiving. "OMG! Like, how the hell were you going so fast as to bump into us both and cause the both of us to tumble into the ground?! Like, you need a brake or an 'off' button!"

The brunette apologized for the third time. "I'm sorry! For real. Look," Suddenly, he took Alexis' hand and brought it to his lips. We both gasped, except mine was inaudible. The young man let go of her hand and smiled in embarassment. "Your hand had a small scrape."

Alexis was speechless, so I spoke for her. "Uh, it's fine!! Just watch it next time!"

Without another word, he bolted past us to who-knows-where. After a minute of shaking her, I finally got Alexis to snap out of her daze.

This time, she turned into her pompous personality. "My, my! It took him long enough for him to do so. It's only natural for a peasant to kiss the hand of its queen! Don't you agree, my dear?!"

"Well..." I trailed off.

"Oh well. Pay it no mind, my dear. Let us depart to our castles!" The golden haired girl began pulling me towards our block.

"Y-yeah, let's go! We can study at my house!"

"Yeah!" Alexis had reverted to her normal state. "You have that textbook, right?"

"Yup." I began walking beside her. But I was still thinking about that boy. I wondered if I would see him again, and how things would go way off track if I did see him again.

And damn, was that right.
