Alexis' POV

To be perfectly honest, I had no desire to be here. The only reason I was here, in Koreatown, on a school night, was because I didn't have anything to eat at lunch. However, I was the only one who was aware of that. Neither of the girls inside of me probably noticed that their belly was empty. Whatever. It was to my favor that I was in control in the first place.

I sat with my friends on the third floor of the food court, my hand stuck on the fork that was dipped in the broth of my ramen. I had to eat it before it got cold. The sooner I ate it, the sooner I was away from this place and back home. My other hand was doing the calculus, and my eyes were focused on it.

Tea and Akiza were arguing about something in Kingdom Hearts III, probably some mess with the story. The story was already doomed and garbled so it was useless trying to theorize how any of it made any sense. Unfortunately, I couldn't put all of my focus on my homework, as half of me was starting to join in their conversation, at least in spirit.

I missed Jaden at these times. Although he was just as loud, if not louder than these two. But he would help me focus on my homework before I switched. Satisfied with my work, I put my finished calculus away. Unfortunately, that caught the attention of a certain idiot.

"Heeeey, Lex, I'm not trying to pressure you none, but you wanna slide that calculus over here?" Tea's voice seeped into my ear like a disgusting, slimy poison. Akiza's attention was also brought to me, and when I didn't look up from my ramen, I felt her hand rub my forearm gently. "Just let her eat. She didn't have anything at lunch."

Tea tilted her head. "She never has anything at lunch! At least not anymore."

Well, pardon me for juggling two other personalities within myself. It's not like they ate, either. I gripped my fork and did my best not to slurp up my ramen like a savage, dabbing at my mouth with a napkin between bites. "Where did Jaden go?" I asked.

The brunette shrugged. "I think he went to check on Y/n..." She trailed off, leaning in on her elbows with a wide smirk. "Y'know, I have a little theory. I think he's in love with Y/n."

I wasn't really surprised, but Akiza's amber eyes widened and she froze. Those eyes sharpened at Tea and she leaned in to meet her. "What do you mean?"

Tea didn't skip a beat, but her smile died down to skepticism at Akiza's question. "I mean, it's not just him. Yami and Yusei, too. You see the way they look at and talk to her. Any idiot could see." At the mention of Yusei, Akiza made a face that looked like she was choking.

After about three slow bites of the noodles in my ramen, I heard her speak again. "I think Yami would be the best for Y/n."

"Really? Cut the crap, Akiza." Tea suddenly snapped, and her voice became as taut as a guitar string. Akiza and I froze. We hadn't heard her use that tone in a good 5 years, at least.

It took a lot to get Tea truly angry, and what I saw as I looked up wasn't Tea at her angriest, but it was close enough to it. Her eyebrows were furrowed into a set scowl, while her mouth was twisted in disgust and annoyance. No, this was something different.

"We all know why you're saying that. And I don't like it. You never know when to admit that you've been beaten." She emphasized the least word, curling her lip and gritting her teeth.

Although she and I knew it was true, Akiza reeled back defensively. "Beaten?" she echoed, raising her eyebrow. "And why are you yelling at me?"

"I'm not yelling at you, yet, so shut up and just listen!" She hissed. "Yusei. Doesn't. Like you. In fact, what do you even see in him?"
