Misaki's P.O.V

The next day I woke up sore like crazy.

"Misaki, you shouldn't get out of bed today."  My mother said bringing me a towel and placing it on my forehead.

"But I have to see Itachi and Ayumi!" I said and coughed.

"You won't move from this bed Misaki, stop being stubborn." My mother said and left the room.

"I need to go see them." I said sitting up.

"Everything hurts! Mostly in here." I said as tears spilled from my eyes, clutching my chest.

"Ayumi..."

"Itachi..."

Then I thought, why do I want to go, my best friends are dating each other. They are probably better off with out me.

"Misaki!" Itachi and Ayumi came in the room.

I started to wipe my tears away.

"Misaki have you've been crying?! What's wrong?" Ayumi asked and hugged me.

At a time like this, Itachi was the one who's hug me... But he kept his distance.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked ignoring Ayumi's question.

"We wanted to check up on you. Ayumi told me you were working really hard." Itachi said and I frowned.

"What's wrong?" Ayumi asked me.

"I was hoping to train all day today.. I need to become stronger!" I said with a smile.

"Misaki... You are already strong enough." Itachi said and I blushed lightly.

"Misaki do you have a fever?" Ayumi asked touching my forehead and I shook my head.

"How's your relationship so far?" I asked and they both blushed.

"Uhh... Well..." Ayumi said.

"We were planing to go somewhere today." Itachi said.

"Then go..." I said in a serious tone.

"Uh! I mean... I didn't mean it that way... You guys can go... I'm not moving from here." I said with a smile.

"Are you sure Misaki?" Ayumi asked.

"Yes." I said.

Ayumi hugged me and they left.

Itachi didn't hug me...

"What's going on?" I said and started to cry.

"Misaki what's wrong?" My mom asked rushing into the room kneeling in front of me.

"It hurts here." I said clutching the area around my heart and my mom hugged me.

***

For a year, Ayumi and Itachi have been hanging out with each other all the time.

I don't remember the last time it's been three of us.

I see them from time to time and say hi.. Nothing else.

It's like they are ignoring me.
