Chapter 9

Misaki's P.O.V

Ever since I cut ties with Itachi and Ayumi, I've been really lonely.. But this has given me a chance to focus on training.

At the age of 10, I've became a Genin and my clan was murdered in an explosion.

I've became an orphan.

"Itachi Uchiha, what did you see?" I heard Danzo say as both Itachi and I stood in front of the village elders.

I was still frozen in fear from hearing the screams of my family members.

"I only saw the house in flames and Misaki sitting in front of it." Itachi said and I held Amejisuto tightly.

"Hiruzen, she was the only one there during the explosion. Misaki killed her clan." Danzo said and I rushed in front of Danzo and pointing Amejisuto in front of his face.

"I'd never kill my clan..." I said as tears streamed down my face.

"Is that Amejisuto?" Danzo asked in shock.

"Misaki calm down!" The Third Hokage said and I backed away.

"Just in case that doesn't happen again, hand me your Katana." Danzo said.

"No." I said holding it tightly.

I felt Itachi's eyes burning through me.

"Danzo, let her be. You can't go assuming such things." The Third Hokage said.

"If she is the bomber, she may go to other clans and do the same thing! What if she targets the Uchiha?" Danzo said.

"I have no reason to murder any clans! Most importantly, my clan! I adore the Uchiha clan and they adore my clan! Lord Third! You must believe me!" I said and he stared at me sincerely.

"You haven't done it Misaki?"

"No." I said and stared at him.

"I believe her."

"Hiruzen!" The three other village elders yelled at him.

"Answer one question for me Misaki." The third Hokage said to me and I nodded.

"What were you doing in front of the house?"

"My mother and father said they'd plan a surprise for me. I ran back home as soon as I saw the smoke... I heard my mother's voice, she was alive..." I said as tears streamed down my face.

"That's nonsense!" Danzo said.

"She is a 10 year old girl! She became a Genin today!" The Third Hokage said.

"We have to keep sharp surveillance over her." Danzo said.

"Where will she be staying?" Danzo asked and they started throwing different clan names.

"She can stay with the Uchiha." Itachi said.

My eyes widened, "No." I said firmly.

"The Uchiha, huh?" The Third Hokage said.

I cringed...

"Misaki until we can find you a permanent home, can you please stay with the Uchiha?" The Third Hokage asked seeming stressed.

I stared at Danzo who glared at me.

I didn't want to hear Danzo speak.

"I'll stay with the Uchiha. For now." I said and the Third Hokage smiled.

"Misaki! What brings you here at this time at night?" Mikoto asked.  I stayed silent looking down and tightening my grip on Amejisuto.
