Sorry about yesterday I did update this chapter then took it down. Here it is now
Sean helped Ariana out of bed and into the wheel chair. This was her first time getting out of bed, the C-section and natural birth was hard on her body but she pushed the pain aside. She couldn't bare not being able to see her babies. She didn't care about the amount of pain she was in she wanted to physically see her babies and touch them. That little time that she had her baby on her chest after giving birth was the only time she got to see her baby boy, and she never actually got to see her baby girl, she was rushed off to be taken care of after coming out into the world.
Sean wheeled Ariana to the NICU where the twins were. When they entered the NICU they saw the twins in incubators side by side, they were still so small and had tubes to help them breath. It broke Ariana and Sean's heart to see their kids hook up to machines, helpless. As a parents they wanted to be able to help to fix their problems.
Ariana carefully got up from the wheel chair and stood in front of the incubators they were in.
"They're so small," She said
"I know," Sean said "but they're half of me and you so they're strong."
While Sean and Ariana were spending time with the twins, they got feed them the milk that Ariana had been pumping for them. And for the first time since being in the NICU they got to take out their son from the incubator for a little while and were able to hold him. The doctors didn't want to take the risk with their daughter being that she still had very under developed lunges and was under weight.
Holding your child in your arms for the first time and that moment when your looking into their eyes and realize that you guys made this tiny little human being, you already know that you love them more than you love life it's self. It is something just so indescribable and amazing.
"Do you think, we'll be able to go home soon." Ariana asked Sean as she held her baby boy close to her
"I don't know, but I hope so though." Sean said "I feel so helpless with them in here like I can't do anything for them."
"I feel like we should be the one getting them better, helping them, but we can't and I hate that feeling," Ariana said "I don't like seeing them like this"
Ariana and Sean spent some more time in the NICU before they went back to Ariana's hospital room, the hospital were putting the twins on a schedule so it would be easier for Ariana and Sean when they went home.
"Frankie said he and your mom are gonna come visit" Sean said after reading the text from Ariana's brother
"I wish Nona was here so she could meet them, and your family." Ariana said "it kinda sucks when we all live in different states."
"Yeah I know, but thankfully with the technology today the next best is FaceTime." Sean said
"Yeah I know,"
Dr. Fowler came in the room for the routine up on Ariana, she had to see how Ariana was healing up before she could clear her to leave the hospital the next morning.
"Everything seems to be looking good, and I can clear you to leave in the morning" Dr. Fowler told Ariana "you will need to come back and get checked again so I can see how the incision is healing no infections or anything."
"What about the twins?" Sean asked her
"I checked on them earlier and Baby A if he keeps doing good might be able to go home at the end of the week Baby B being much smaller will need to stay a little long but what I can see they're both good."
