On their journey: "My cultural background has been a superpower in my writing because it gives me a reason (and a responsibility) to put my characters on display. As a Black, masculine female, I rarely see people like myself fully represented in stories. That absence fuels my creativity and purpose. My true superpower is authenticity and showing up as myself on the page and letting that truth shape every story I tell."
