Now I’m not one to complain, okay that’s a lie but it’s either I have some serious bad luck or someone upstairs or maybe even downstairs is very bored and I’m just some naked ape who is fun to play around with. Now if that is the case let’s just hope the next round is in my favour.

“Now, now boys let’s just talk about this”

“Be quiet Sammy” I whispered between gritted teeth.

“It’s just a misunderstanding between you and me and I’m not sure why you have this skinny little girl but I’ll be more than happy to stand aside and let you rip her to shreds”

The group of men stood up from their crouching positions and seemed to be waiting for our next move, their eyes never leaving our sight and every millimetre of movement we made they would follow.

“Wow hold up a sec, I . . . he . . .” oh god this isn’t going well.

“I’m just a defenceless young woman show some mercy!”

“Enough!” the voice of our capturer shouted which caused the group that were behind us to part to let him pass through.

“How did you get out? Actually I don’t care I have bigger things to deal with right now, knock them out and take them to the basement”

I was expecting more cursing and shouting from this guy so I don’t think this normal-ish approach is a good sign, well at least it kept Sammy quiet . . . wait, knock them out? Okay why did I just think that approach was normal-ish?

Lifting my hands up in a surrendering gesture I quickly started to spit out random words right after the capturer vanished leaving both of us with the men that were now starting to close in on us.

“Look you got the wrong girl, I’m just an average person, he is the one you want! I pointed behind me at Sammy.

“You bitch!” he shouted.

“You turned on me first . . . oh my god duck!” I shouted back.

Too late, Sammy was flung across the alleyway with one of the guys and landed in a tangled heap at the feet of the men on the other side. Standing near the exit fighting off two men and counting was the bloodied stranger someone I wasn’t expecting to see so soon.

“Are you just . . . going to . . . stand there” he shouted between each punch and duck, it was hard keeping up with him.

Zooming out from the view of the stranger and for the first time actually looking around me I noticed a few disturbing things, but the one that stuck out like a sore thumb was the rolling heads coming from the strangers direction. Some had parts of their scalp missing another had his eye just spewing out everywhere and all I wanted to do was scream and run the other way. I knew we had to fight off these men but never did it cross my mind to kill them never mind chopping their heads and ripping extra things off in the process.

Spinning around and trying to carefully not stand on top of any heads I could see both the stranger and Sammy occupying the rest of the men, this is my only chance of escape before they notice I’m still around.

As stealthily as I could I tried to tip toe my way around the mess on the ground and not bump into anyone nearby and just when I thought I had made it halfway through to reach my freedom, I get thrown back to earth, literally.

“Where do you think you’re going?” spoke a familiar voice, looking up I saw the man from the gas station that I sweetly kicked in the privates.

I groaned in misery, why can’t my life just be simple and less painful?

Rolling his shoulders backwards he purposely walked slowly towards my now standing form. His eyes never leaving my now huge bambi ones as he lowered his chin, whilst a sinister smile that reached both ends of his face crept up showing a set of marble white teeth not forgetting two abnormally pointy ones at the top.
