“My lord I shall go bring her suitcase, I will not be a moment” spoke Rosalind.

We had just reached the front of the steps to the house because I insisted on a ‘human’ pace rather than going into high speed blurriness when the lord and Nicolas came out, and as usual followed by servants.

“Thank you but that will not be necessary I have changed my mind” replied the lord as he glided down the stairs.

“I understand, have a safe journey my lord and Mr Asturias” she bowed down slightly.

They both climbed into a black limo and drove off leaving me standing there confused, “where are they going?” I asked Rosalind.

“They are going to see the king”

Okay well that did not help with my confusion, “we don’t have a king we have a president”.

She started to laugh but then quickly sobered up, “don’t let anyone hear you say that”, she must have noticed my muddled face and continued, “oh Nikita you have a lot to learn about our world”.

“Can you tell me now?” I asked for the fifth time.

“No, and you should not be down here”

“What about now and where is here?”

“The servant’s floor and still no”

“The servant’s floor?” well I did notice a drastic change in style and refurbishment but for some reason I didn’t think about where the servants stayed.

“Yes and if someone sees you I’ll be the one to blame, we are not supposed to bring anyone down here it is not right”

“Well I want to be down here, and can you tell me now?”

“I would have told you already if we were in my room a couple of minutes ago but you walk ever so slowly”

“Why can’t you just tell me now as we walk and sorry” I dragged out the ‘sorry’ in a slightly bitchy way, “but I am not used to your superman speed”.

“Firstly it is vampiric speed and secondly I want to relax first before going into detail into your ever growing curiosity”

I huffed quietly to myself but she managed to hear as she huffed back. Rosalind seemed very easy to talk to and I was comfortable to be myself and not have to act proper like when talking to the lord or lady, I’m not saying she does not deserve the same respect than those two but that I don’t have to always think my words through before saying them.

We had finally reached her room; it was a comfortable sized bedroom with the essential furniture doted around but nothing in comparison to the guest room I was staying in.

“I won’t be long just going to get changed”

She grabbed a pile of clothes neatly folded on top of her bed and vanished from sight, the only reason I knew she was still in the room was the sound of the on suite door clicking closed.

No longer than a second or two she reappeared in front of me now dressed in faded jeans and a plain blue t-shirt, her golden hair was taken out of the tight bun she had early and was flowing past her shoulders.

“Right then Nikita take a seat and tell me what you want to know first”

I looked around the room and sat on a brown arm chair beside the window and made myself comfortable.
