We all left and I returned to air temple island. When there were prepared for the attack. We waited. The unfortunate part is that Kuvira arrived early. I stood with the other airbends on the tops of the buildings. We waited for her to arrive. Just as had been described to us a huge Mecha suit walked up. Seeing it in person was so much different than hearing about it. When Rico surrendered we flew over to Asami's factory. They were talking when we walked in. She put Tenzin, Bumi, Jinora, and Kai on a stealth mission to capture Bataar Jr. Leaving Me, Ikki, and Meelo behind. Korra went with them. It didn't take them long to return with Bataar Jr. After empty threats and pleads Korra found a way to crack him. She set up the radio so that Bataar could talk to Kuvira and convince her to stand down. It sounded like he convinced her.
"Guys, she must have our location. She's pointing that weapon right at us." Mako said, pointing out the window to where Kuvira's Mecha tank was.
"No! She wouldn't!" Bataar insisted.
"Apparently she would." I told him. A purple glow came from inside the barrel of the weapon.
"Everyone, out now!" Korra shouted, but it was to late and the weapon shot at us as we ran. The explosions caused us to collapse as the building did around us. A giant chunk of the building fell on top of us and Bolin lift it off as we all ran out.
"Kuvira is headed our way with a platoon of Mecha suits." Tenzin said as he landed in the middle of our group.
"What should we do?" Asami asked.
"This is my home town, and I hate to say, but there is no use risking all our lives to fight that giant thing. Let her take the city for now. We will think of some way to come back and beat her." Bolin suggested.
"What about all of the people who haven't been evacuated yet?" Mako asked. "If Kuvira finds out Wu is with them she might fire that spirit weapon and destroy all of them."
"I couldn't stop Kuvira from taking Zaofu. I'm not letting her conquer Republic City. The world isn't safe as long as she has the weapon.
"I agree. We take down that giant today." My mother said appearing out of nowhere.
"Lin!" Korra said at the same time as I said Mom
"It's nice to see you all made it out. You had me worried." She said as she walked into our group.
"You benders are going to have to fight her alone. She just blew up our factory with all our hummingbird suits." Varrick told us.
"Not all of them. There are the prototypes back at my office." Asami told him. "If we can get those ready to fly we can at least offer a little air support.
"Su, you take Bataar Jr and the rest of the wounded back to Asami's office. Get those suits ready as fast as you can. The rest of us will just have to face Kuvira on our own." Korra instructed and we all left. We all ran down the street until Meelo stopped us at a paint store.
"Meelo! What are you doing?" My mom asked.
"I got an idea on how to stop this thing. Everyone grab some paint and find me some balloons!" Mello instructed and with that we went to work. When we found balloons we filled them up with the paint we had found in store. When we were done all of us airbenders took to the skies with our paint filled balloons. We distracted Kuvira's suit and covered her viewing window in paint so that she couldn't see. The rest waited below for our signal. There was no way in so Bolin put lava under one of the feet. Wing and Wei wrapped the feet up and when Bolin called we airbent as well as we could at it, trying to knock it over. It ended up breaking the metal cables and took aim at where we were standing. We dove out of the way to avoid the blast. Many of us getting injured in either the fall or the blast. My leg was injured in the fall and it was hard to walk. They helped me back to Future Industries tower with the rest of the wounded. I sat down on the bed, looking around at the other airbenders around me. There was no hint of hope on their face.
