Chapter Thirteen: Without You

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
(Kori's POV)-
"He's my best friend!! I NEED TO COME!!" Yelled an angry yet protective Victor.
"Sir, please step back.." Replied the doctor as he rolled the patient, also know as Garfield, away. Victor was about to chase that doctor down, so we all pinned him to the wall to stop him from performing any unnecessary actions.
Vic began to calm down so we let him go. He began to pant for air and tears streamed in his chestnut brown eyes which were full of sadness and hurt. Karen pulled him aside and gave him some tough love, a pep talk.
  I was extremely worried for Garfield. He gave me a big comforting hug on my first day at Winston High. He and a few others made me feel truly welcomed, like I had a true friend. Right now, my heart was aching in pain for my friend, as I hoped for more than anything for him to be alright.
I even felt bad for Vic. Gar is his best friend, and he's practically losing it over there while in the middle of his pep talk with Karen. How hard it must be to feel that you might lose your best friend..
  Well, I already lost mine. Well, at least, I think I did. That mysterious black haired boy to whom I still have SO much to learn about. I already felt as if we were best friends, but I might've screwed THAT up. He's sitting over there and he STILL hasn't given me a glance since we were informed about Gar.
We all sat down in the waiting room of an old plain hospital. Everyone one stayed quiet, completely silent. Richard sat across from me, but turned his head so he couldn't see me. It was SO awkward. I felt that I had to look away as well, and I did, but desperately wanted to look back at him, just to see his face.
Raven sat in the corner of the room, reading her book which she took everywhere.
Wally sat in the middle of his two soul mates, Jenna and Artemis. Artemis was turned towards him, trying to relieve his pain by putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. On the other hand, Jenna was trying to relieve her own pain by not looking towards Artemis and Wally together.
Just like what Dick said, 'It's a vicious Love Triangle.'
A small smile formed on my lips as I thought about his words. It boosted my mood a little to hear his voice in my head, but then I began to think about what happened in the cornfield.
Was that whole make out session a mistake?!
He DOES have a reputation for being a bad player boy, but I don't know.
When we were kissing, don't call me conceited or anything, but I felt like he cared for me. The kiss wasn't rough, it was gentle. I remembered every detail about it. The scene, the mood, the Sparks, and ..the love.
"I'm gonna go head to the vending machine. When I'm nervous, I get hungry.." Wally explained as he got up and left. Artemis got up to follow him, but Jenna decided to stay. She let out a sigh as Wally and Artemis walked off together. I got up as well, not to leave to a vending machine, but to stretch.
"Why are you up?" Dick asked in a depressed tone. This was the first time he's spoken to me for awhile.
"Just stretching." I answered calmly as I reached my hands up and let out a yawn. He nodded and went back to complete silence. Should I make a move?
