Chapter Eighteen: It's too Late

   It was the beginning of a brand new day of school, and much to the children of Winston High's surprise, this meant a whole new day of absolute drama.

The Artennally (Artemis/Jenna/Wally) love triangle was booming with glares and backstabs along with a lot of emotional distress. Artemis was beginning to notice how much closer Jenna and Wally were getting and she couldn't stand it. She believed that Wally and her were bulletproof, but whose to say what she believed now.

These past few days, Karen felt as if she was missing a piece of her. Walking down the Winston halls weren't the same without Vic constantly by her side. Vic always knew how to put a frosty smile on her face, but as for now, Karen could only frown. Vic and her were basically one person and she just could not wait until he got back!

Out of all of the children in Jump city, Rachel had felt the most fragile. School didn't feel the same for her, some of this because Gar wasn't here to bug her every four seconds to tell her a corny joke that probably didn't sound as funny as it did in his head.

Not only was she upset about Gar's disappearance, but she was also upset about walking home to her abusive father. Everyday she walked home from school, and began to cry as to how afraid she felt. As she stepped inside her heart sank into her stomach as much false hope set in. She was desperate to get out of this horrid situation, but she didn't have the courage to confront her friends about it..

Kori was in a very dramatic situation as she remained calm on the outside but incredibly unstable on the inside. It was true, Kori was fascinated by the new kid, but she couldn't ever deny the feelings that she kept for one Dick Grayson.

Dick was the very first boy to tell her that she looked beautiful, and the first boy to ever make her feel special. Her heart skipped a beat whenever she saw him with other girls, and it always somehow gave her heartache.

He really....seemed attracted to that Barbara girl. It killed Kori so much to know that Dick was sharing a deep romance with the ginger. Kori didn't know one hundred percent, but she felt like Dick's new girlfriend didn't like her very much. It looked as if she were cursing Kori every time she said a simple hello to Dick. God forbid Kori ever touched him now without getting murdered by her.

She was soon to realize that perhaps he was better off with Barbara. Carrying a crush on your friend felt like carrying a four hundred pound barrel on your back. It was too much for Kori to deal with, and maybe she'd just be better off without it..

"WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO PARTY THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!" Yelled out an energetic Wally who was sprinting down the school halls.

He kept bumping and knocking into things, but that didn't seem to stop him. He kept running until he saw his favorite pink haired goth. He had been waiting ALL WEEKEND to see her, and just couldn't wait to jump into her comforting embrace.

Wally was stoked!! Not only was he excited to see Jenna, but he was also super pumped for the party that was going to be thrown on the weekend. This party was going to be BIG, and almost the whole school already knew about it. The best part about this party for Wally was that in order to come, you would have to bring a date!!

Wally finally spotted the pink haired goth and was just about ready to serenade her with hugs, but he noticed that Jenna wasn't standing alone. In fact, she was standing next to a ginger haired boy. This boy had many similar features to Dick, and wore a red vest with red skinny jeans. The amount of red that he was wearing stung Wally's eyes.
