Chapter 1
The scream the woman had made caused my ear drums to almost explode. It was the kind of scream that tells you that something terrifying just happened to her. Too bad she wouldn't be alive anymore to brag about it. Her memories flooded my brain. She was a prostitute, the one who sells her body to live. She should have thanked me for this, I ended her suffering and she lived alone. I pulled away from her neck as she slid down to the ground.
Humans. How fragile could they get? If they were a vampire like me, their life would have been so much easier. I mentally shook my head at the thought of being human once again. I forgot how it felt like to be one. It was funny to think just by saying it, I meant, how could I forget when I just turned last year?
Not once did I regret killing some humans. I chose humans who live alone, nevertheless someone who already had so much suffering in their life that I wanted to take it all away.
My story was unique on its own. I was an orphan. I didn't know who my parents were. I got tired living inside the orphanage so I ran away when I was fourteen. I knew the reason why no one wanted to adopt me. I was rude and blunt. I was never considered as someone sweet for anyone to take a glance at.
After I ran away, I met this group of older kids and they asked me to join them, and I did. They were a gang. They taught me how to steal and fight. Those were the things that were necessary to do due to poverty. But one day, another gang managed to beat us and kicked us out of our own hideout. The gang went their each separated ways and I was left alone. And that was when I caught the attention of a monster.
The vampire who turned me, I killed him. Why? Simply because he saw me as a toy right after he saw what I could do. What was his name? Oh yeah, he didn't even bother to tell me because he was too busy analysing the ability that I got from being turned. But as far as I could tell, everything turned out fine. I survived even though I lived as a monster. I needed to take what I could get. No, I didn't need to get it. I didn't have a choice when that vampire turned me.
I never knew that Italy would be this great and peaceful. I was originally from California. How I got here by foot, the reason was obvious. I tried to look at everyone's mind to entertain myself in my walk. The power of telepathy, how wonderful could you even get?
People were thinking about a lot of things. Some were thinking about sex, about their family, about their dog, about what dress they were going to wear for the prom, about their boyfriend, everybody was thinking about everything.
My mind then saw something that wasn't visible to me. It came from a building, a castle, maybe? I went inside a person's mind and looked through their eyes. How was it possible? The room was full of pale and marbled skin monsters like my own self.
The castle was full of vampires.
I then found myself standing in front of the door of the castle. The wall that was made of bricks surrounding the castle was very much appealing to the eye. I was about to step inside when a vampire stopped me from doing so, "Who are you? From what coven?" the vampire had almost white hair that could have made every girl in town swoon over him. He was a vampire. It was a must for him to have a perfectly carved jaw.
Another vampire with jet black hair and almost with the same features as the first one, talked to me with a tone that I wouldn't ever approve of, "You are not welcome here. Aro didn't inform us about a visitor. Go away, little girl,"
I grinned at them. After a second, they walked away from me with their eyes staring straight ahead. A neck snapping was heard when the first guard killed his companion. "W-What did I do?" he turned to look at me.
