9. Things Are Different Now

Selena was so excited that Taylor asked her to marry him. That she was planning her engagement party with the help of Vanessa and their mum Bridget.

Joe was busy working, he went back to work. He owned his own company that invests in small businesses to make them better then what they started out in the beginning. He also started going out on dates with this nice woman Blanda, she was a model and designing her own line.

Blanda: "So Joe, tell me have you ever been in love before."

Joe: "I'm going to be honest here Blanda, I have and it was only 4 months ago."

Blanda: "Oh... I'm sorry."

Joe: "Don't be, she doesn't feel the same way as me."

Blanda: "Right."

Demi went to check on Ben, who was in his room thinking about what it would be like to live with Joe.

Demi: "Hey handsome, how are you doing?"

Demi walked in and sat on Ben's bed, while he was sitting on his window seat thinking.

Ben: "Hey Mum, how are you feeling?"

Demi: "I'm ok; what about you?"

Ben: "Just thinking about Joe."

Demi: "Why about Joe?"

Ben: "I miss him, Mum."

Demi: "Oh why is that sweetie."

Ben: "Because I was happy that Joe was like a father to me and you had to go and wreck that." (Tears running down his cheeks)

Demi: "What are you talking about Ben?"

Ben: "Before we left Joe was upset, I think he was in love with you."

Demi: "What...how do you know that?"

Ben: "Just because I'm 8 doesn't mean I don't know how someone looks at another person and know they are in love with them."

Demi: "Aww baby, well we are going away. Well actually moving house."

Ben: "What...where are we going Mum?"

Demi: "It's a surprise, I have to go and make a call ok."

Ben: "Ok."

Demi kissed Ben's forehead and walked out to talk to Bianca, Bianca was in the kitchen making tea.

Demi: "Hey B, I'm gonna call Vanessa ok."

Bianca: "Yep that's fine."

Demi went and grabbed the phone and called the house number for the Jonas family. Bridget answered the phone; she was getting things ready for Selena's engagement party.

Bridget: "Hello."

Demi: "Hi...I wanted to speak to Vanessa."

Bridget: "Sure can I ask whose calling?"

Demi: "It's me Demi."

Bridget: "Oh how are you darling, I was going to call and invite you and Ben to Selena's engagement party."

Demi: "Oh my god Selena is engaged." (Surprised)

Bridget: "Yea so can you come?"

Demi: "Oh I'm not sure yet, when is it?"

Bridget: "This Saturday; if you can come. I'll go and get Vanessa."

Demi: "Oh sure, I will let you know and thanks."

Bridget went to go and find Vanessa, she found her with Joe. They were talking.

Bridget: "Vanessa, the phone is for you."
