No! She was supposed to be mine! She's the one that will fulfill the prophecy. She is supposed to be mated to me, making me the strongest shifter ever! I will not let this royal come in and take her after I've been watching and waiting since her birth. There is no way around it, I will have to kill the royal. She may suffer some consequences but she'll live, and then she'll be mine.
Smiling sinisterly at my thoughts, I go to prepare.
**Tarris's P.O.V**
I'm going to have tell her soon. Not only that I'm a royal but that she is the one to fulfill the prophecy. The prophecy has been with us so long, I can recite it with ease.
Borned Unknowing
Lived in ignorance
Shifts too early
But a rare beauty
She shall save the shifter world
Fire, Earth, Water, And Air
I sigh and think forlornly of how she will take this. What if she leaves me? No! She can't! Without her I'll be nothing. But I'm the reason that she'll now be put in danger. What if she'll regret meeting me?! I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't hear my voice being called until a hand waved in front of my face.
"Tarris? What's wrong, why are you crying?" My sweet mate asks.
I reach up to my face to feel moisture on my skin, I was indeed crying. "It's nothing, love. Just let me hold you please." I asked because I may not get to do it much longer.
She looks at me then wraps her soft arms around me. I engulf her in my arms and lean down to put my face in her hair. I inhale and smell her unique scent of butterscotch. I don't care what the future holds, I will stand by her side as long as she'll have me. And I'll fight to keep us together.
