"Alright, are Niall and Alyssa here?"

We stand up and go over to the doctor, curious as to how this happened.

"This is a very rare case, and truly a miracle, but her body was in a sort of... Hibernation-like state. Basically, her heart and everything froze, but came back again a few days later. Don't ask me why this happened, I have no idea. Every once in a while, a miracle happens. This is the first time I've seen this. Something must have restarted her heart, whether it be sheer will, excitement, or just a miracle. Tell me, what was happening when she woke up?"

Niall clears his throat. "Alyssa and I were holding her hand."

The doctor lady looks over at Niall, sizing him up when realization strikes. "You're Avery's boyfriend, aren't you?" He nods slightly and she smiles knowingly. "I think I might have an idea what happened. Like I said, something had to restart her heart. I think that might of been you. Don't look at me like I'm crazy, you know what love does. Heart racing and such. Hang to her, I can tell she really fancies you and vice versa." With that, she walks off to release Avery.

I look over at Niall, a slight smirk on my face. He's blushing a lot, it's really quite adorable. He looks over at me and smiles. "I... Wow." I nod in agreement. I can't believe I got my best friend back.

It really is a miracle.

"So wait, what happened again?"

I turn to Avery to explain again. "Somehow, your body pretty much hibernated and then restarted. It's weird, and pretty much a miracle." I smile at her, letting her know just how glad I am that she's okay.

"I still can't believe that out of all of the people, you hit Harry." I snort laughter.

"Yeah, strange."

Right now, Niall, Avery, and I are heading back to the boys' flat. Today's been a crazy day and I don't understand.

I suppose love really does conquer all.

Too bad it doesn't for me.

"Alyssa? You okay?"

I look up to see both of my best friends looking at me with concerned looks on their faces.

I bite my lip, gnawing on it as I consider my options. To tell, or not to tell?

I sigh, giving in. "Just... Zayn, and Harry, and all my stupid problems."

Avery immediately realizes and gives me a sympathetic look, while Niall sits there, looking a bit confused. I decide to enlighten him.

"You know how Zayn broke up with me? Well, he did it because of Harry liking me, because he wanted to be a good friend. So now I've pretty much lost one of the people I was closest to, all because of Harry being stupid and selfish. Needless to say, I'm angry at Harry and not over Zayn. I mean, what the hell am I supposed to do?"

Niall looks like he wants to say something and I raise an eyebrow at him. "Alyssa... Harry really likes you. Like, LIKES YOU. It's not stupid and selfish to him."

"Well it is to me! He's certainly not the first person with a crush who doesn't like them back, it doesn't give him the right to kiss me and flirt with me and take advantage of me when I obviously don't want it!"

"Guess I'll leave you alone then, bitch."

I freeze, just then realizing that Harry had to come home from the hospital too, and was sitting on the other side of the car. The car stops, the door slams open, and he runs out the door, leaving me guilty for no reason I know.
