Chapter 15: Two new angels

Chapter 15

Katniss P.O.V.

It's been two months since Riley ended up in the coma. Becca hasn't visited her once. I can't understand why. Why wouldn't Becca want to visit her sister?

Becca doesn't talk to us about Riley and if we bring it up she just stands up walks to her room.

Matty is starting to lose patience with Becca, anyone can see that. At first he was so happy to have her back, now he's irritated every time she's in the same room as him. He's been trying to get Becca to go to the hospital, but hasn't been successful. Nathaniel ha tried, Fisher screamed at her to go visit Riley, everyone has tried but everyone has failed.

I don't know what more we can do. We can't force her to go, but something is definitely up with Becca. She looks ashamed every time I see her.

She's completely changed though. Her attitude is gone and she doesn't raise her voice or smoke or drink anymore.

"Riley..."

I stop outside Becca's room. It's in the middle of the night and I went up to go to the bathroom.

Becca is talking to someone. I peek in. But she's lying in her bed, turning back and forth from side to side. A pained face.

"Riley..." Her lips barely moves, but yes, she said her sister's name. "I'm sorry".

Oh Becca.

I open the door more and walk into her room. I now see that tears are streaming down her face.

I sit down on the edge of her bed, stroking her hair.

"Becca wake up", I say. "Sweetheart wake up".

"Mom", she says when she wakes up, scaring me half to death as she sits up, looking like she's never was asleep at all.

I back away a little.

"Yes?" I ask her carefully.

"Is Fisher okay?" She asks.

Wait what?

"Fisher?"

"I've just got this feeling that..." She's interrupted by the house phone.

I stand up and hurry out to the hall to pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

But all I can her is horrible screaming and crying.

"Annie?" I ask. How many times have I not heard her cry?

"Katniss!" She cries. "Fisher is dead!"

The floor disappears underneath my feet. I don't understand anything at all. What did she just say?

"Annie what?"

"Fisher is dead!" She screams hysterically. "My baby boy is dead!"

"Annie wait hold on, we're coming over", I say and Annie hangs up.

I quickly wake up Peeta and try to explain the little I know. We gather Becca and Matty before running out to the car and driving off to Annie and Finnick. Not that it's a long way.

I grab my key and open the door. Immediately when I open the door to screams and crying hits us.

We rush in to see Annie not being able to stand up properly, crying and screaming, hitting Finnick's chest with her fists as he's trying to hold her up.

A police officer is sitting on his knees in front of little Angelina, talking comforting to her. She's crying and crying.

"Angelina", Matty says and runs up to her.
