She'd hissed steadily to the steady rhythm. No rush. But a steady tick of the clock earned a swift motion of Sebastian's hand. Clear, sharp, but never harsh... Yet, the familiarity of the sting radiates from her rear like a hit that you'd taken that lasted for weeks.
She apologized. Begrudgingly to the people who stood in the same category as: (Don't get too close to the adults, all adults are bad bad; Like really bad people! you can't turn your back!) In her head.
She wasn't trying to be rude. It just seemed that way, because Sebastian said it was. And that had to be a reason she faced trial and was subjected to: guilty.
Right?
(Wrong.)
To stand in the corner was even worse. It was embarrassing being on display. Sebastian says: if you show disrespect in front of them you can be punished in front of them. (End quote.)
Her cheeks flushed in begrudgingly pink afterwards. Being placed into the corner like some petulant misbehaving child.
After.
He had her apologize. Properly, eyes were still teary after the entire ordeal.
She apologized and things went as they did, like nothing ever happened.
No one scolds her nor shows any expressions of disappointment when she passes by.
And for that reason she'd been grateful. Mr and Mrs Rose, they'd been really nice she supposed. They tell her of the countryside.

"So," Mr Rose started. "When will you be attending School?"
She asked the question coming out naturally, as she wanted to know how life would go for her grandchild.
Millie's brows shot up at that, as if the very idea of school crawled its way, showing up like some terrifying monster, in a final match in a video game.
School was the last thing on her mind. She didn't even like people in general.
"Oh. Sebastian and I are setting her up next week." Emerson simply answered.
Next week? Yeah she definitely had to be near her grave.
"Oh! That's wonderful. Hopefully she'll meet some children, get some normalcy around her to feel a little better in her new surroundings."
Mr Rose replied, Mrs Rose nodded in agreement.
By, time around 3:15 they'd left. And still the hearing of school was left in Millie's ears. They'd spent the entire morning, spending as much time with them before deciding to settle in their hotel before going back to the west.
Sebastian and Emerson waved her parents off from the door.
"Love you too. Mom,Dad!" Sebastian and Emerson say in reply to her parents' in unison "We love you.!"
The door shuts and Millie's feet are flat on the ground, no longer feet prompted on the couch like before.
Once the door shuts closed, Millie could feel the word still sinking in her brain. School. As in legit classes and other people she'd have to call her classmates.
It nerved her so much she actually physically shivered. Emerson's eyes caught this and turned to her. "Millie Baby, you okay?" she asked, Sebastian gave her the same look only a parent would. Concern.
"Do I have to really go to school?" She didn't hesitate questioning it. It was genuinely something she never thought she'd ask, after Mr Lawson's house. The only escape really was school when it came to that man and boys.
